If it's brightness control you seek, look no further than screen filter. Of course u need root for it.

Well considering f.lux isn't a brightness app, no that's not what I or most the people in this thread are looking for.

Use EasyEyez. It's like a combination of screen filter and F.lux. It even has the sunrise and sunset timer in the paid version.
