[ROM][WIP][DOWNLOAD] Sense 4.0! Shaky's work contiuned! CheetahROM alpha 1

As you may know, shaky gave up because of all the nagging. However, I have his permission to continue working on the ROM.

IRC was invite-only, sorry. Now it works: #cheetahrom_desire on irc.freenode.net

CheethahROM.zip - 340.17 MB

Requirements:
FATSYS Hboot (INT2SD-M) OR Stock Hboot (Stock recommended + SD-Ext 1GB

Instructions:
Full wipe, then install. Upon initial startup, you will recieve FC, let it sit for 5 minutes, then reboot, FC should clear.

When Audio and 3G works, I will use it as daily ROM.

Just a friendly warning; Add sources. Kernels apply under the GNU/GPL-license which states that you have to provide the source code for e.g a kernel.

This is a way to get 3G working by adding the following to build.prop:

Code:

# 3G Dns
# IPv4
net.dns1=8.8.8.8
net.dns2=8.8.4.4

ROM boots OK (with the usual FC)
Added my carrier's APN manually - still get the "No SIM card found " error when adding/saving the APN
3G works .....

After a restart, 3G still works even though there is no APN shown and I still get the "No SIM card found" error.

The web browser works and the weather updates when opened (after I added my location) but not in the clock on the home screen. I Can sign in with my Gmail and Facebook accounts

For buglist is it worth using http://code.google.com's issue tracker? It's simple but much easier for proper bug list uses.

To add to the bug list:

Video/720p recording?
FM radio?
Data-wifi hotspot?
ICS security: encryption?

Since this has many problems, i'm discontinuing this and teaming with another dev, which has a much better base. Also it's running on 4.0.4 .

No ETA, but the waiting will be worth it, i promise.
