Here is my newest attempt of an windows Startup Animation:
WindowsScribble

animated.gif


Please note that this is just the first try and that the animations are very big ( WVGA ~1,9mb).
But they should play normally.

Downloads:
This are full packages including the Animated.gif and the Welcomehead!

I'm going to update them, they are not avaible at the moment

Installation:
Just place the animated.gif in the /windows folder on your phone with a file explorer like "RescoExplorer" or "Total Commander".
Please note that the Windows Explorer doesn't work!
Copy file -> to your Phone -> in the Windows folder -> the Reboot


It would be great if you could leave a comment!

nice animation. imabout to try it on my HD2. were exactly do i put the gif. file in /windows?:confused:
EDIT: NVM figured it out.. uhm but it works like a charm! very nice. thanks for the hard work =]

A welcomehead.PNG WOULD BE GREAT.

I got a himalaya so a static welcomehead.PNG would be good as the himalaya cannot run a moving .gif at bootup.

it cannot run a sound file either.:confused::confused::(:(:(

You know what would be nice, a light version, with maybe a few different colours. For example, white background with the 'HTC green' colour would be nice for me :)

You have done an outstanding job here though

My stock ROM doesn't have an animated startup currently so does anyone know how to get this working as putting it in the Windows folder doesn't do anything I just get the O2 first screen then the welcomehead?

I'm on the O2 stock ROM 1.72.

What Resolution do you use?
I'll make a Installation cab with the registry entries needed for you :)
