Yes, I have a backup, but it's after rooting and installing a feew things from the script like the Playstore. I did restore it.
Btw, there is a bug in the restore part of the script, the boot image is never written, because the Goto Lable "OPTION25.13" exists two times! So only 10 Images are restored!
Now it says 8.2.0_user_2032620, so I was only half correct.
I enabled OTA, but how do remove the playstore? And how do I unroot. I think the unroot funktion of the script is broken too, the code that follows starts at line 4724 of the script:
Code:
ECHO **********************************
ECHO *We Are Now Rebooting The Kindle.*
ECHO **********************************
echo.
adb reboot
adb kill-server
adb wait-for-device
echo.
cd \KFFirstAide
adb shell su -c "busybox mount -o remount,rw /system"
adb shell su -c "mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system"
adb shell su -c "rm /data/local.prop > nul"
adb shell su -c "echo 'ro.kernel.qemu=1' > /data/local.prop"
adb shell su -c "busybox mount -o remount,ro /system"
adb shell su -c "mount -o ro,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system"
echo.
ECHO ***********************************************************
ECHO *We Are Rebooting The Kindle. The Kindle Will Look Unusual*
ECHO * After The Reboot, This Is Normal. *
ECHO ***********************************************************
echo.
echo.
adb kill-server
adb start-server
adb wait-for-device
echo.

cd \KFFirstAide\Backup
adb pull /system/xbin/su
adb pull /system/app/Superuser.apk
adb shell su -c "rm /system/xbin/su"
adb shell su -c "rm /system/app/Superuser.apk"
cd \KFFirstAide
adb shell su -c "busybox mount -o remount,ro /system"
adb shell su -c "mount -o ro,remount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1 /system"
echo.

First, isn't there a "adb reboot" missing after this:
Code:
ECHO ***********************************************************
ECHO *We Are Rebooting The Kindle. The Kindle Will Look Unusual*
ECHO * After The Reboot, This Is Normal. *
ECHO ***********************************************************
echo.
echo.
So the Kindle actually is rebooting. Right now it is simply not rebooting and the script goes on without rebooting the Kindle.
Second, if I understand this correct the script is removing "su" right here:
Code:
adb pull /system/xbin/su
adb pull /system/app/Superuser.apk
adb shell su -c "rm /system/xbin/su"
So the rest of the script will fail, as there no longer is a "su" on the device, or am I wrong?
Once again, thanks for your help.
Best regards, Michael
