Thanks for the new update especially the yaffs2 extractor. Now I can easily rip the system.sin file.

Really strange. I have Java7u7 installed on my computer (both jdk and jre) and don't have any issue.
yeah,,,really strange...

btw, I did clean install win7 sp1, jdk 7u7, Sony PCC, and flashtool 0.6.9.0/0.9.0.0/0.9.3.0.
result the same, stucked when flashing system.sin.

maybe I should try the latest FT...

Edit: Only GB *.ftf file that stucked on system.sin flash. ICS ftf file work smoothly.

forgot to mention: my device is WT19i

Hi, Androxyde, going thru the FT changelogs, I see you have imtegrated Bin4ry's root method which is actually a constantly evolving WIP (currently at v13). Will you be updating FT every time he updates?

Bin4ry updates are just some scripting updates to resolve issues. No real update about the method. FT handles it differently.

The only update I can add is tablet S root that is slightly different. and xperia T ric to avoid reboot on remounting system r/w. But even without ric trick, FT can root Xperia T correctly.

Hi,
What drivers should I install for Xperia Mini Pro? There aren't any options for it on the drivers list.
Thanks.

Just install all for all devices to be on the safe side. If mini pro isn't recognized after that install pc companion which brings the drivers with it ;)
Did both those things and still getting Device not found error. Any ideas guys?

Edit: I've got to the point of 'Device connected in fastboot mode', but whenever I try to get device status or flash a kernel I get 'This action can only be done in fastboot mode' or 'Device Status: NOT FOUND'

Flashtool will not recognize my Xperia mini ST15a running rooted ICS 4.1.B.0.587. It asks me to select my device from a list. There is only the entry for ST15 Xperia mini with no differentiation for either the "a" or the "i" version. It also says: "Installed version of busybox : N/A", "Android version : / kernel version : / Build number :" and "Phone in recovery mode" which it is not and busybox IS installed. Any idea what's going on with this? With the past experiences I've had trying to flash custom roms and using tools developed for this phone, it seems like 99% of them only work for the "i" versions. Am I correct or does anyone have a clue what's going on? I'd sure appreciate any insights -

Update - running Flashtool on my laptop pc worked just fine. Everything shows the way it should. It's the desktop unit that seems to have a problem for some reason.

Maybe you could re-upload the files to faster hosts, because downloading 100mb at 50kb/s isn't very pleasant :I

But thanks alot for you program! It helped me a lot

    Hello

Flashtool can be downloaded on the Flashtool Homepage

As Flashtool was originally developped for X10, you can find a lot of information on the Original X10 Flashtool thread

Major update for 0.6.8.0 : Ability to now install CWM from Flashtool on locked bootloader for LT15/LT18.
Fastboot now works fine under linux

Major feature for 0.6.5.0 is Linux and Windows editions, Drag&Drop for FTF files.

Major new feature : Fastboot toolbox for 2011 line devices.

Please post fastboot issues here in this thread

So now we can flash costum kernels even if we dont have fastboot on device right?

Doomlord you should reall make a tut for this.

    Thanks in advance

if ur bootloader isnt unlocked then u cant flash kernels...

ok i will make a tutorial for this over weekend...

how come x10 mini pro can flash kernel with locked bootloader? is it not the same process? if not, would it be possible to flash the way they do?

those devices have hacked bootloaders to support flashing custom kernels...

since new xperia 2011 device already support fastboot there is no need to hack their bootloaders... simply unlock them... the official or unofficial way ;)
