[Q] Tired of paying too much for 3 grandfathered AT&T Unlimited Data lines; options?
OK, I've had three Unlimited Data lines on my AT&T family plan since 2008 ($90 a month for the data alone). I've had AT&T/Cingular for far longer. Two of the lines are no longer on contract and I'm ready to switch to T-Mobile's Walmart plan ($30 a month unlimited text/3G data; 5GB 4G data; 100minutes). It seems like a waste to let three grandfathered Unlimited Data accounts go when there are so many people who want them but I have no idea how a transfer would work.
-I have a coworker who wants only one line, so can I transfer them individually or would we have to cancel two?
-Is there a way to use these as Unlimited Data for a tablet or mobile hotspot? IOW, can I turn one into data-only lines, stop paying for minutes, and stick it in an iPad or something?
-Is there a market for selling grandfathered Unlimited Data accounts?
