Do you have any sounds mods flashed/installed on top of the ROM? Like Awesomebeats or something like that?
Thank you for your post back, I appreciate it
In response to your question, nah, this thing is squeaky clean. I haven't added any sound enhancements or replaced any drivers, nor have I restored any system information at any time. It's been this way since the flash before any of my 3rd party programs were installed. The ROM was flashed per instructions (wipe wipe wipe). I've also tried Ktoonsez kernel and the problem persists despite the dev notes about audio module replacements. Clock frequency adjustments do not appear to improve the issue. The popping is not consistent, it's different each time and sometimes (though rarely) does not occur at all. I have not noticed any other audio issues. This issue also occurs when voice input is activated using the stock Google keyboard, which one might expect since I assume they're using the same system for voice input and the same sound file. The issue is also present when using headphones.
I should mention, before flashing any zip I always, without exception, run an md5 check on them using es file explorer on the phone, and either compare that with supplied md5's or download a 2nd copy on my PC to verify that they are identical.
Thanks again, I tried to be as detailed as possible, let me know if you need any additional information ^.^
Edit: I may have forgotten to format system, might that account for the issue?
