Yup i figured that out already.... Thanks :) for the help.

Also, if i may ask... Does Philz recovery and this one has any difference (Other than customization and extra options),

I mean in terms of compatibility with CM11/ AOSP / GearCM (Does Philz recovery causes some problems ??) and other ROM made form the device tree.:confused:

I've got Philz modded Recovery 5.15 or something like this.
Everything is working except restoring a nand backup.

Is there a way to restore a nand backup with this cwm oder philz cwm???
Read something about Linux SE can not be restored?
But there must be a workaround. Everything is great with the i9506. But without a nand restore I'm very afraid to test something new tweaks?

Yes you are right it fails every time. can some one explain me how to do successfully backup and restore whole system with nandriod backup.

For example your phone is on the table and some one cant go into cause it secured with pass or pin or pattern but when he use volume up and home and power ,after 10 sec it will reboot to recovery so can format all of your phone in 5 sec and right now? nothing will be there.
Is it possible to add atleast 4 digit pin for entering to cwm ???
Can developer compile cwm with atleast 4 digit pin????
Pls dont say , dont put your phone on desk and we dont lock our phone and etc ,
be logical.

I am having status 7 erroe after i tried to flash latest cm 11 nightly on my i9500
can it be due to the fact that i did not perform factory reset or cache wipe
The file is downloaded ok there is no error in that

Can i flash this recovery via odin . actually i m on stock recovery and not rooted at all i want an recovery flashable via odin and then i will install available zip of this recovery ... Hope i m clear ! Can anyone help ?

    What Is CWM Recovery ?

    CWM recovery is a way that enables you to flash a custom rom , customize your rom and can save you from bad situations. To Be fully in control of your android device you need a recovery and this is one of them.
    CM Nightlies install with no problems.

    How To Install CWM Recovery ?

    Only DD method



    You need to be rooted before you continue.

    1. Copy recovery.img to the root of your internal sdcard and choose either method below

    a.Via PC :



    Make sure that your device is on usb debugging mode (also ensure you have Samsung adb drivers installed).

    Plug your device in your notebook/pc and open Terminal/CMD.

    Copy and Paste the Following Commands :

    PHP Code:

    adb shell

    dd     if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p10

    ​



    make sure that the partition is mmcblk0p10 or you will brick your device !

    now you can reboot to recovery (volume up + home +power) or type reboot recovery via Terminal or CMD and enjoy CWM 6.0.4.7







    2.On Phone :





    First Download Terminal Emulator From the Play Store.

    Start Terminal,

    Type the Following Commands :

    su (you need root acess for it )

    Then

    dd     if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p10

    ​



    make sure that partition is mmcblk0p10 or you will brick your device !(guys with fat fingers stay away, use your pc !)

    now you can reboot to recovery (volume up + home +power) or type reboot recovery via Terminal and enjoy CWM 6.0.4.7
