That's what I wrote... exactly!

These rooted files (made by diego and me) are not the complete FW... We flash only CRC (cache) and SYSTEM Files with this procedure... So it is needed to have the FULL FW (of the same Version as the rooted files) installed before...

Test your phone with the FULL KSA FW and see if it works - otherwise go back to FULL JED FW again.... And wait for the JB update! After its global release (up to now only for RUS available) there will be some other ways to root... Probably more easier...

Hi, my current firmware is I9070XXLK2 (UK), can I root to REGION: XME (Malaysia) | PDA: I9070DXLD1 or I have to root to XXLK2?

What is the best Odin version recommended for I9070?

Hi, I'm a newbie. I took me 3 nights to read all related forums before I decided to root my phone. I've never done this earlier. I just rooted my I9070 10 minutes ago. Know I got to find related post to find what to be done next like application, ROM, etc. Thank you guys for the guide.:laugh:

Hey fluffi remember our conversation about the /system/bin vs. /system/xbin on jan 01/02?
Today I've gotten an error with the combination /system/bin + superuser in my i9070. Root explorer and link2sd were working perfectly until today, but I do not know exactly from when they stopped working. From jan 01 until now I've done the following:
- installed go launcher
- installed dictionary.com app
The latter I had to download in my tab, transfer to sd card and then installed to the phone (said it wasn't available in my country). I remember this being the last thing I did in root explorer. Maybe conflicting apps?
Anyway thought it was interesting to mention... waiting for jb. Maybe meantime re-root rom with su in /system/xbin

Very strange, isn't it?

Give it a try and copy the su to xbin. If your device is still rooted it will be easy to do.... I recommend to use SuperSU and its su binary....

Why do you need any other root method for JB, it has easy way with stock recovery. Without increasing binary counter.

Yes but it will compatible with any others Jb firmware that will released from Samsung and nfc version too?
I know that with the method we speak in this thread any firm have his file to flash...

I did one already for the RUS JB with this method:

But no one reported back, up to now... I will wait untill more FW are available... And I do not have an I9070 anymore to test...
