Well the s note is installed on my note 2 but the previous version is also there. I thought it will update thr previously installed version but both are there. just wanted to ask every thing is alright to keep both the versions.

Yup dats right but when I installed the new version it asked me to download the previous version's notes. So I did but when I try to open them it crashes . The app force closes . Hope so that it will be fixed in the future .

Basically, the snote came with the snote3 mof package cannot be updated via samsung apps. You have to copy it to system/app manually or use the original snote from 4.3 base rom (no mod). But I tried many time, and the one feature which the updated version won't have is Idea Sketch. It's a big deal to me so I postpone the update for now.

i formatted my n2 after using 4.3 somedays and this s note update was i got from samsung apps but after factory reset this s note update was not showing in samsung apps even after turning push notifications on and checking repeatedly after reset for 25 days...yours one was life savior for me it installed smoothly and also now it started updating via samsung apps

there are some problems found by note 2 user when trying this new interface, just see below
Strong points:
- Nice interface
- Add new selection mode function to edit graphic objects and texts
Weak points:
- Missing productivity tools to draw shape match, formula match
- New snote can not open old snote file (.spd file format instead of .snb), if open old file format it will crash
