Heh, give the guys at MIUI some time...
Just installed it and it's a beautiful thing! I have noticed two things though.
1. Stock Settings crashes when trying to open
2. No Group Messaging
Loving the Beats Audio though!
Stock settings is a problem higher up in the chain (aka, even MIUI guys know it's broken), so maybe tomorrow's official build will fix it. For the Group Messaging, also a feature higher up. I'll see if there's other options though.

I installed your original sense miui and yesterday the one from this thread. Biiiig difference and all positive. I'm experiencing the current known issues:
- stock settings
- themes applying but needing to reboot because of launcher
But honestly, i really don't notice much, if any, lag. I did flash other kernel (elementalX v6.4) and notice no negative side affects. Loving the miui sense because I normally receive much better battery life, wifi performance and stability.

I'm having a great experience here. I'm an old miui user when it got ported to the thunderbolt by droidviscious. They started charging for themes now no big deal. But v5 is pretty slick.

Ohhh cool. I got a fc when sending MMS. Maybe its my end. No lte but it seems this hspa is pretty fast. No complaints here!

I usually don't use miui. Or try it out and decide against it. I really like this one though. It has some little lag. But nothing compared to the older miui. I think I may stick on this! Good work. And Awesome ROM. It takes allot for me to stay off of CM10

Have not really noticed much lag with elementalx no reboots at all for me. Only thing I notice is when switching themes, it won't change status bar icons

CHeck your APN settings the rom can handle LTE i'm using it right now.
However you might already have LTE on i noticed on this Rom i have a 3G beside my signal when on 3G but an H+ appears when on LTE
So if you've got the H+ symbol you're rolling in LTE goodness.
I'm also having the MMS FC though and it has nothing to do with my APN
Agreed MMS force closes after receiving a picture message.

I would think that's a kernel feature, but maybe not. I'll check it out.
Update is uploading as we speak!
We have moved to MIUIAndroid, the updater script not wiping system is fixed, I've cleaned up the APKs so now it's more MIUI-ish, and most importantly (for me), the builds are made using a script. What does this mean? Well, you will now get your updates 75% faster and fresh!
