No offense people, but we will be well aware you tested it when you post results. I only posted that I was building to provide time to backup your photos, run titanium, etc. It was not to start a trend of people saying "eating a sandwich" "taking out the garbage" "booting up a build" and all those wonderful posts.
Even when I got a black screen for a bit off your git and softkeys to power/vibrate once, I couldn't get a logcat.
I like that people post they are going to test. I was going to test but then when I saw that two others were going to I decided to hold off on it since you don't need 3 people testing the same thing.

The flags in build.prop to disable hardware acceleration do disable it, but it is better to not do that until it is fixed. No point in going back.

Twisted is there a way to force the "cpu upload" that fixed browser OpenGL rendering for WebKit in general? Because GMail and other apps aren't affected by browser-specific settings.
So in other words you only test something when your the only one doing it? And adding a half page to the thread just to have a few people say that they are testing may be nice for the people who aren't here to experiment, but if someone else saying they are testing deters you from it, then you probably should just download what is in the first post and not bother with the random builds. It doesn't sound like you test unless you have to, so I am freeing you of that commitment
I found the issue. There are two different init.spade.rc files, two uneventd from when i downloaded the current ace device tree, the kernel was updated since I downloaded, and the build script points the files in the root folder and not the ones in the kernel folder. Overall it was just cleaning up the disorganized layout. I really should have done that before building.
No other testing of that upload is needed, a new build was started to fix the boot.img issues and a typo for the auto uploader.
Lol. If you spent half as much time coding as you do writing long winded attempts at humor, you'd have a fully functional ics build for every HTC device. So in other words you only test something when your the only one doing it? That makes sense. I haven't seen this clarified here yet, so forgive me if I'm wasting space (hard to find much with 3/4 of the posts entirely non-dev related). Is your organization just tested commits, while your standard page is new commits that aren't all tested (basically your workspace)?.
Bro be thankful for what you have.....appreciate! Don't hate

Exactly. It is like CMs private repos only its not exclusive. It provides access to my tests while diverting a bit of the "this didn't work" response for stuff I didn't finish testing / editing

Thanks for the reponse . I for one enjoy your humor, and for awhile have believed that this thread should just turn into the Q+A thread, and we should have a semi-private google group for any dev related talk. Hell, it already has really turned into the Q+A thread. Now all we need is a way to communicate Dev questions and answers/ideas unobstructed.

That's the reason behind the irc. It gets logged should anything really important come up that gets misplaced. Sure it gets side-tracked, but a lot of us from different devices have had a chance to kick around ideas and the "clutter" is less permanent.
Not taking me seriously about anything but code is the inverse rule one.

Have you tried compiling the kernel using kali's most recent source and merging in the boot.img? Just wondering. Waiting on a build myself.i don't know if you figured it out or not but, builds from your source (your git and mecha playground) give a su error when attempting to use logcat. adb works just not logcat. swapped for clockans boot.img and got logcat, booted past splash screen, bootloop without boot animation.
Hey guys! I want to thank all the developers for working so hard on this, as its pretty awesome to run ics right now. I tried the fix for the browser, but still not working. Any ideas?
