Tried it on CM9 on Desire S, went through account selection and setup and then it keeps saying "Google Search has stopped working". Pretty close though

same here but CM9 on defy, when i activate cards the app FC's, without the cards it works
Seems works...testing...voice search doesnt work.
With sdk 16 i got play store and / YouTube fc..so i set back 15 and it works(of course no voice search)

change your read write permissions in the upper right hand corner of file explorer, its a button you click. doesnt look like its anything to click really.

Using rootexplorer click the option at the top to put you in R/W mode instead of R/O mode

Update: changed the SDk version in build.prop back to 15 and now it's not crashing on start. No cards yet, also the menu option "Example cards" disappeared.Tried it on CM9 on Desire S, went through account selection and setup and then it keeps saying "Google Search has stopped working". When I'm now clearing the appdata I get the connection-error.
The language should be the same as ur phone. But location needs to on for weather and local stuff.
For those who had network errors, you cant try this (worked for me)

I'm literally amazed at how many people don't follow simple, specific directions on here........
There is a learning curve here, I admit, but nothing that can't be overcome by simply reading the whole thread and following directions. If you don't read ahead to find out how people have stumbled & what to look for, you're just asking for trouble & headaches. Possibly even a handicapped device. <rant over>6

i just did read it all no problems. 10-15 pages ? get a grip mate, there are threads of 200-500 pages and still sometimes it's best to read them ALL.
juniors shouldn't be neither too lazy nor too verbose, imho. learn to read, understand and experiment at your own risk. otherwise, forget about xda for good.
that's my point. and i'm a junior, too, mind you.
