Using rootexplorer click the option at the top to put you in R/W mode instead of R/O mode

Edit, it's called Mount R/W

Tried it on CM9 on Desire S, went through account selection and setup and then it keeps saying "Google Search has stopped working". Pretty close though :)
Update: changed the SDk version in build.prop back to 15 and now it's not crashing on start. No cards yet, also the menu option "Example cards" disappeared.

When I'm now clearing the appdata I get the connection-error.

    Amazing

I'm literally amazed at how many people don't follow simple, specific directions on here........
There is a learning curve here, I admit, but nothing that can't be overcome by simply reading the whole thread and following directions. If you don't read ahead to find out how people have stumbled & what to look for, you're just asking for trouble & headaches. Possibly even a handicapped device. <rant over>

I tried to search the thread for anybody else having this problem but it couldn't find it.

Basically, i got the app installed but it won't let me speak. Every time i try to use the voice search part of it, it immediately says that it didn't catch that and i should retry, without even giving me a chance to speak to it.

Is anybody else having this problem?

My original voice search works however.

This pretty much sums it up:

You know what, telling someone to read the thread isn't helpful, especially as threads get to be more than 10-15 pages.

i just did read it all no problems. 10-15 pages ? get a grip mate, there are threads of 200-500 pages and still sometimes it's best to read them ALL.

juniors shouldn't be neither too lazy nor too verbose, imho. learn to read, understand and experiment at your own risk. otherwise, forget about xda for good.

that's my point. and i'm a junior, too, mind you.
