Hi

Very nice looking soft! does slow down my machine when singing in/ out, am unable to use the phone keypad for messages only the full qwerty, to sign in am unable to use any keyboard on password entry but the standard keyboard. only a couple of wishes if possible to have contacts pictures on chat, and the ability to choose notification tone etc. Might consider moving from my current facebook im app to this

thanks for the input.. .
sound notifications and improvements to the chat box is planned.
regarding the keyboard problems, i still don't know what causes them, and actually don't have them on my diamond or ppc emulators im using.. if any dev around here ever ran into this problem please let me know.

works pretty well.

would it be possible to prevent the chat window from scrolling back to top after a new chat entry?

double tapping on the friends online window crashes program.

it consumes alot of memory though.....to me on the diamond around 1.4mb when its running.
its a point for improvement
few things i think you should add is a notification in the taskbar when you receive a message,
because to me, the big use for this application is to run it on the background and use it instead of SMS
so there should be a notification icon on the taskbar
also a sound,
and later on, maybe improving the graphics of the chat window, improving the scrolling to be more similiar to resco explorer or something..

So far very good app..

another thing very crucial is the fact that it keeps running in the background even after closing the app (normally) and sometimes even two copies of it altough only one appears in the normal builtin task manager

just solved some memory problems, should be better in upcoming 1.04
btw, did you close it with menu -> close, cos win mobile default X action is minimize

Yes, i closed it that way, but still sometimes it leaves it in the background

and regulary the settings for me is X to close, not to minimize
so no big different, i tried all the variations i have

The only issues I had with this was the message window scrolling back up to the top after a new message was sent or recieved in the chat window. That and when I would miss spell something and push the side arrow key it would move over one space AND go left or right (depending on which arrow key I was pressing) to the next chat window.

Other than that this is a great program. This is exactly what I was looking for!

Oh yeah, the window really does jumps up all the time.
I think that there should be also a change in the location\size of the window tabs, in the header where you press to select them.
when trying to go to main window with my finger its sometimes press the disconnect by mistake,
the big conclusion is to make it more finger friendly

is it possible to make cache for the friend list and image?
some kind of way to make it faster to connect, and get the list
and it just check if the image isnt the same
thats way the whole login process will get faster

a problem i just noticed,
when i enter the options menu after loggin in or something, when i hit close
for the ideal response is to close the options menu and get back to the main window
but it closes the app
i assume the X does the same here

another thing,
when you start working on the graphics you *must* make it like the beejiveim, which looks awesome...=)
try to get some tips from there, that would make a nice difference...

the memory is reduced, before around 1.6mb and now 800-900~kb

and the problem with the incoming message that scrolls the window up is also fixed and working well now...

and really nice taskbar icon when message received =))

images are cached.. (check the app dir /images), but just for reducing bandwith.
in my point of view, caching other user information is pointless for two reasons:
1. its useless if the user if offline (and will just blow up the memory - that was my problem with other facebook apps around here, coz i have over 300 fbfriends)
2. facebook chat api forces you to grab the basic details of a friend each time the list is updated.

about the slow login - well, try grabbing your facebook home screen (regular not mobile) on mobile IE (if u can made it past the secure login screen) should take about the same time. but i might work something out..

CLOSE = Close The Application. coz according to M$ in WM the default X behavior is Minimize. its pretty much the same like mobile msn

im just testing your software and making comments, points maybe you can improve,
i see that the login proccess as faster than the older versions, did you change something?
though maybe there's nothing to improve from my comments

Hi,

very impressed with this new release i use facebook quite heavily so will be using this app often, it takes a while to sign in but not this is to do with the software might be the network . all is well with keypad, would be nice to be able to assign notifications.
