And here's another issue. I backed up my GB before flashing CM9 RC1, but something isn't right in the restore list in CWM. It shows the two CM9 backups correctly, but the only other one is listed as:

1970-06-25. 18.55.37/

What's with the year 1970 as it's date? And I didn't do it on June 25th, it was more like July 2nd or 3rd.
Nandroid backups are the backups that you made in CWM. It doesn't actually say "Nandroid" anymore when you do the backups so some people don't know they used to be called that in older versions of CWM. :P

To answer your other question: If you boot into a ROM (CM9 for example) and then reboot into Recovery WITHOUT turning the device completely off, then the date will be accurate when you create a backup. However, if you turn the phone off completely and then use the volume down + power method to get to CWM, the clock will be set to 1970 and if you create a backup it will give it that date.

So, knowing that, you should be able to figure out which backup is which. Also, in ROM Manager you can rename the backups for future reference.

Thanks so much for clarifying the confusing date. So I can rest assured that the 1970 file is my gingerbread backup. Puts me at ease.

So here is the thing. I have tried just about every room and nothing seems to work. Rc1 is great! Until the force closes start happening and everything from maps to the system UI to the settings crash. Then on the paranoid, same thing, then on full throttle, no FCs, but major laggs and battery drain. (Thanks for the development devs. Really appreciated). The leak laggs and doesn't give me battery life as well. And gb, well I was on gingerbread for like an hour as I was trying to flash cm9... CM10 could not be any further:-/

I do not known that some one had already reported this or not. I have installed rc1. It was running fine for 3 days and today I found out that no matter what setting I choose for phone ring it always ring loud. I tried on vibrate, it will vibrate and ring loudly. I put it on silent but it ring loudly.

I've been running RC1 for about a week now and haven't had any force closes or problems with ringer volume as mentioned. Maybe I'm a lucky one. I'm just glad that everything is working properly since this is the first rom I've ever flashed.
