As of current topic ROM from a clean flash this morning I can confirm at least for me, data has been fixed (both LTE and 3G) and the biggest for me seems that BT audio streaming has been fixed. Used it in the car this afternoon and it was MUCH better with no popping/static sounds.

As with ART even with new gapps, I would recommend not enabling, this has caused numerous F/C from what i've experienced.

New Recovery

Here is a Bootloader Method for the new recovery from OP I made so you can flash through Bootloader. Just make sure to put on root of EXT SD Card and rename to PJ75IMG.zip..........

Enjoy

How many people have had temporary problems with recovery not working? Slow to respond, or temporary blank screen? I've never had a recovery
Problem so I'm hesitant to mess with it.

The only way I got a menu and recent apps button from the capacitive buttons is to edit the syaptics-rmi-touchscreen.kl file to read like this:
key 102 HOME
key 139 MENU
key 158 BACK
key 217 SEARCH
key 249 APP_SWITCH

This let me access the menu button through a long press of the home key. Not ideal, but it works. Also, I got .apk files to install by copying them to a folder in the system folder, installing the apk, then deleting the file I copied over. Again, not ideal but a workaround none the less. Hope this helps someone.

Great work on this devs. You all are awesome!

Is this still the only way to adjust the capacitive button actions?

I can't answer your question. I will say though that the method above is so easy there almost doesn't need to be another way. I'm not super-skilled at these things and I did it in under two minutes.

Searching through file manager for that file name...Any hints for its location?

Coming from MeanBean 3.09, firmware 3.15.651.6, and TWRP 2.4.1.0. Haven't used CM in a while, but thinking about giving this a try. What do I need to do other than updating recovery, clean wipe and install? Do I need to update the firmware as well in order to take full advantage? And will I be able to roll back if I nandroid prior to the clean wipe?

I know you have to update the recovery from latest in OP. I made a flashable Bootloader version a page back....Im pretty sure you should be at latest firmware as well......but im sure others will chime in with better info.......

Yes. Especially if you used the bootloader file that was so kindly posted ((PJ75IMG.zip), that you'll definitely wanna delete from ext SD. But, you said it was on sdcard0, so you probably didn't use the bootloader method,...in which case, yes, you can delete it, though it is kind of handy to keep in case if a pinch where you may want/need to reflash recovery.

TLDR
Yes, you can delete
Lol

    Bugs:

    • Dock audio doesn't work unless connected through Bluetooth
    FAQ:

    • Q1: When I try to flash the ROM in TWRP, it fails. Why?
    • A: You MUST flash a recovery built with an SELinux kernel in order for the ROM to flash. There are 3 I know of: One is in the OP of this thread. One is in post #2 of the OmniROM thread (thanks to xHausx). The 3rd is here, built by me with Flemmard's kernel (split from deck's version). I also have one built with CM11, available upon request.
    • Q2: I enabled ART and now I can't boot up my device without getting a bunch of force closes. How do I fix it?
    • A: Go back in time and don't enable it. But seriously, the best workaround I found is to pull the build.prop out of the ROM zip, update the runtime from libart.so to libdvm.so, and push it to the ROM while in recovery. Change permissions to 644, wipe caches and reboot. You'll be back to dalvik, and back in business.
    • Q3: What's the difference between these builds and Nightlies?
    • A: The builds posted here and on IRC will include patches that haven't yet been merged into CM, and thus will be missing from the Nightlies. deck gives us a "sneak peek" of those options first, and allows us to test and provide feedback to ensure everything is working well before being merged for the masses. That being said, remember that this is a Development thread, so if you're going to provide feedback, please make it useful.
    • Q4: Why are you telling me I'm posting in the wrong thread? I'm running CM11. Aren't they all the same?
    • A: See the above question and answer for the difference. This thread is for the builds posted by deck in the OP and in IRC. The thread for the Nightly builds is linked in Post 2.
Come hang out on IRC in #htc-evo-4g-lte if you'd like to discuss the ROM (and also, likely get trolled, lol)

ALSO, please consider donating to the devs that helped make this happen on our Zack Morris device!

So for anyone that doesn't know -

deck no longer has this device. He is still trying to work diligently to fix the bootloop issues we're currently facing, and I believe he'll continue to "hax" for the device if we can throw him some donations to buy a used one.

Since deck is the CM maintainer for this device, and most, if not all of the AOSP-based ROMs use this CM device tree, I think it's about time we all pitched in and helped deck out here.

    His donation link is: http://xdaforums.com/donatetome.php?u=427521

So please, help him out. Show your appreciation, so he can keep on producing fantastic ROMs for this device :).

P.S. deck has nothing to do with this post, and I'm sure he would never ask for this himself. I just felt like something should be said, since he works tirelessly on this stuff for us, many nights going without sleep (I don't know how he does it, seriously).
