Congrats, Happy one-year to the Nexus S :)

How to install:

Grab the OTA package here http://android.clients.google.com/packages/ota/google_crespo/VQ8PQk_V.zip
TMO version
Update 4.0.3 from the google servers (128mb download)

Rename it to update.zip.

This isn't needed for the Nexus S bootloader, but it makes things easy, if that's how you prefer them.

Copy it over to the internal storage on your Nexus S.

Power off, then hold volume up and power to reboot to the bootloader.

Using the volume key to navigate, select recovery, then use the power button to confirm

When you see the warning triangle and arrow, hold the power button and tap volume up. You'll see a menu.

From the menu, select "apply update from /sdcard", and choose update.zip from the list.

Let it do its thing and update your system, radio, and other partitions. When finished, choose "reboot system now"
Enjoy!

Exactly this, why does this not say CDMA? I'm gonna be super pissed if the Verizon raped nexus is a true nexus and mine gets the shaft.

Please do people, and upload it somewhere around here.
I think many people would be grateful :D

Thanks the boot.img & system.ext4.tar from holtenc i was able to run it through android kitchen and make it a flashable zip.

The zip is pre-rooted with with custom boot animation enabled. It is currently uploading to my dropbox right now... it works fine my xxKa3 bootloader and xxkb3 (uncapps my upload).

Ill add download link in like 60 minutes when upload is done.

Supported: Designed for i9020a to avoid flashing bootloader/radio but will work on any gsm model.

    Download:
    Download moved to: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=20456900

    Features:
Full Root (su,Superuser,Busybox, deodexed), Custom boot animation support, Galaxy Nexus Sounds, HSDPA SystemUI

    Credit:
Google: For their work on Android
    ChainsDD: Superuser/SU
    AndroidUser00110001: HSDPA SystemUI

Note: Updated Superuser + SU & added HSDPA SystemUI.

If you'll PM me the link, I can host it on my dedicated server so it doesn't kill your dropbox.
Thanks for the offer but i forgot i had a spare webhost i wasnt using :).

Just got ICS working on a Rogers i9020A (I assume it works the same for ATT). THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS DO NOT WORK FOR I9020T, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS ON FIRST PAGE

Do this at your own risk!

Thank you to holtenc and others for providing some guidelines to it.

I was running CM7 Stable Build. Flashed a 2.3.6 from i9020T (Note the Tmobile version)

Downloaded a 2.3.6 ROM from here:

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1063664

    Android 2.3.6/GRK39F/XXKF1 Radio/KA3 Bootloader

    Under the i9020T category.

Note: I got stuck here originally because flashing the ICS would give me a error code status 7. (basically means you're flashing the wrong ICS ROM). So you have to do the above or else it won't flash.

Next step download a radio from here:

    http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1116884

Download Radio UCKE1 for i9020A (note the A)

And of course download the ICS ROM from front page.

    Boot into Clockwork Recovery.
    Wipe delvik/cache
    Flash 2.3.6.
Reboot, boot into Android. (Your radio won't work, which is normal, because you flashed a i9020T (AWS) onto a i9020A (850 GSM) phone)
then turn it off and boot into bootloader.
From your computer. Run "fastboot flash recovery xxxx.img" (without quotes) (your clockwork recovery image. for those who don't know what I'm talking about. See CM7's wiki for a guide).
After you're in clockwork, wipe delvik/cache again, flash ICS. (It'll take a while). Then right away flash the radio. Then reboot. You should be in ICS.

The first reboot takes a while...(no longer than 5 minutes), if thats the case try restarting the whole process again.

I know I'm new to the forums...(been lurking for a while). But see two photos I've attached for proof.

REMEMBER, DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK!
