Recently I've been getting a host of Google play services crashes. Am I alone?
Figured out all my issues: downgraded Google play music and gmail. Everything works perfectly now! Again!
Interesting. I have been running this rom for a year and have not had that problem. I have reloaded several times for other reasons. Like corrupted contacts or a systemui that kept restarting. But those were probably due to using xposed or other problem apps. Overall an excellent rom.
Definitely. Beware. The dev on this rom has often said earlier in posts that xposed is not supported. I found that I could not use gravity box or wanam at all. They would both make strange things happen eventually and at inconvenient times.
However, xposed with greenify, APM, amplify, app settings, rootcloak, popup window mod, and secure settings... Worked just fine. Anything non ui related. I have been on eclipse for a long time but heard alliance was great so recently went to it. With eclipse, I would never get a notification that I had voicemail and a few apps would not recognize in the play store. I get the voicemail indicator now. Options on alliance are outstanding but the quick tiles on eclipse is the best. I am still working at how to handle quick tiles well on alliance.
Weird. Although I had WiFi problems, I could always use wanam and busybox and other modules. I love eclipse ROM, but I recent switched to dynamic kat xtreme. Are you also on nc2? 4.4.2?
If wanam was active as an exposed module, and then I would reboot, sometimes the systemui would crash. It made me keep up to date backups.
I am on unified firmware (nc2/nc4) and 4.4.2 Alliance right now. I stayed with the same firmware from Eclipse to Alliance.
Did not realize that busybox had anything to do with xposed. I have Busybox pro loaded and it works fine but not related to xposed that I know of.
Alliance is good because so much support for everything Touchwiz and all the change options. I like AOSP look as well. I do so much. The think I miss the most is the native quick tiles. The ones in Alliance are just not as functional and easy to use as Eclipse. I'm trying to get it working with MAPPZ Quick Settings with a right hand shade pull down and tiles I want but it is not the same. How are you liking alliance? I love the classic kit Kat look eclipse had. A lot like aosp. I was looking for another one similar and for at&t note 3. Since I can't have cyanogenmod(locked boot loader) the choices are really small.

Similar performance. The only thing taking me to Alliance is really good voicemail support. I've missed a few calls and that is not acceptable.
