[Q] A500 - stock - get past Google sign-in screen?
Acer Iconia Tab A500 - stuck on Google sign-in Not rooted, purchased new, posted much previously. Remains stuck on Google. Feel if had phone could get online. Took for ride to find hotspot, no luck. Don't have phone but have HP Pavillion, Win7 64 bit which is online (Charter), have Linksys wireless router 1200(p o s), know most of you have knowledge (the power) to post implicit instructions for the old, unknowing ppl out here. Have researched, downloaded, installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled, read and tried everything I could find. . . more than twice.
Downloaded "making PC a hotspot", still won't connect. Did install Acer Sync, Acer USB, got into APX mode (wtheck) and there I stalled. Downloaded the A500 manager (gads hope I didn't mess up there), find there are candy pages now 404'd, and wonder if anyone can read my mind to tell me (step by step), how to get this thing onto Google to unlock. Tried a USB keyboard which took me to a different desktop but lock in circle unresponsive. In other words when USB keyboard connected, no touch screen.
I feel I'm simply missing something. I did succeed (finally) with the paperclip reset but got same "sign into Google" screen and enter APX but being old as dirt, dum as a rock, need something step by step. Offered to pay 6 months ago. Still stands if I can get it working again.
Had cpuid now obscured in cyberspace somewhere. Have old SD card with old files that are Greek to me. I have bluetooth icons, as well as a network icon with a question mark but none respond. Know there is a miracle here, send to me please? Smiles4Miles V
