I recently got my first Windows phone (HTC Titan II / HTC Radiant), so I am very new to the Windows phone world. But I am starting to get the idea that Windows phones use these "RUU"s to update everything from the computer and I used one for myself to upgrade my WP rom.
From my understanding, a RUU can do these things:
And since all the hardware is compatible with Android.. I don't understand why someone can't make a RUU that will over wipe WP and replace it with Android and maybe in time even install CWM so you won't need to use these RUUs and just use a .zip?

Thank you for reading!
From my understanding, a RUU can do these things:
- System (the /system mountpoint)
- Boot (the /boot mountpoint)
- Recovery
- User data (the /data mountpoint, this means you lose all of your personal data)
- It may update your radio image (if newer)
And since all the hardware is compatible with Android.. I don't understand why someone can't make a RUU that will over wipe WP and replace it with Android and maybe in time even install CWM so you won't need to use these RUUs and just use a .zip?
