Hi Guys,

How can I set SuperSU language to English? I've tried in settings and all below but it did not help.
It's v1.45

I've rooted my i9506 using SafeRoot+Disable_KNOX.zip as well as tried Samsung_Galaxy_E330_4.3.zip.

Finally I've got system rooted however up to my suprprise SuperSU is in Chinese or other unreadable language for me.

EDIT: I could not use link, therefore please copy/paste in browser to open screenshot with settings from SuperSU if needed.

I've tried to manually uninstall package:
Code:
pm uninstall eu.chainfire.supersu
but I'm getting:
Code:
W/PackageManager( 862): Attempt to delete unknown system package eu.chainfire.supersu

I've also tried to run update via Play store, but it did not work neither.
Code:
W/PackageManager( 862): verifying app can be installed or not
W/PackageManager(  862): New package has a different signature: eu.chainfire.supersu
D/dalvikvm(  862): GC_EXPLICIT freed 791K, 25% free 56443K/74924K, paused 10ms+16ms, total 182ms
D/Finsky  ( 8755): [974] 1.packageInstalled: Package install status for "eu.chainfire.supersu" is -104
D/NotificationService(  862):  hasClearableItems
D/Finsky  ( 8755): [1] InstallerTask.cancelCleanup: Cancel running installation of eu.chainfire.supersu

I've made sure that / is mounted in RW
mount -o remount,rw /

But it did not help neither.

The application SUPERSU have one option in Settings called Language. Change it there.

Thanks.

Its possible that the KNOX app is blocking SUPERSU. You will have to delete the entries with Root Explorer app for example. In odexed ROM´s you have to delete the associated "xxx.odex" App´s also too:

NOTE: In Android 4.4.2 (kitkat) some apps are moved to System/Priv-app (if you don't find them in "System/App" !!!)

KNOX in System/App folder:
ContainerAgent.apk
KNOXAgent.apk
ContainerEventsRelayManager.apk
KLMSAgent.apk
KnoxAttestationAgent.apk
KNOXStore.apk
KNOXStub.apk
SPDClient.apk

KNOX in DATA/DATA folder:
com.sec.knox.containeragent
com.sec.knox.eventsmanager
com.sec.enterprise.knox.attestation
com.sec.knox.app.container
com.sec.knox.seandroid
com.sec.knox.store
com.samsung.klmsagent

More KNOX remains:
Folder = Data/clipboard/knox
Folder = system/containers
Folder = system/etc/secure_storage/com.sec.knox.store
Lib = libknoxdrawglfunction.so
File = system/tima_measurement_info ---- TIMA is a Trust-Zone of KNOX

solved. Thanks to Joku1981!

I've found 1.94 zip I've installed from recovery and it worked.

###
I've removed everything as per below, knox seems to be removed.

Unfortunately SuperSU is still in Chinese as earlier and can't be updated.

What should I try next? What should work is to force installation of APK from recovery using ZIP package, but I have no such ZIP.
What should I use? The one I've used originally seems to be in Chiense hence are no help for me.

Thanks in advance.

*EDIT: You can try otherway: HERE. This app isnt supported by XDA. I've heard rumours regarding spyware and other malicious software installed via Kingoapp. The Sony Z1 threads do have information regarding this matter (at least it was there I read about it). I think XDA have had news posted about this too. Vroot and Kingoapp ALLEGEDLY steals IMEI and possibly other information from your device when rooted via them. You are advised.

I will check guides you've mentioned.

I've run into another problem, after getting rid of KNOX, I've got SuperSU running in english.

But... theproblem is that phone started to reboot automatically after ca. 60 seconds after booting up. And it stays in the loop.

Any ideas how to fix this problem? I'm starting to pull my hairs... I did root Nexus One, Motorola RAZR HD and did multiple other things and only with this SIV I'm having weird problems...

Thanks in advance.

Further investigation with logcat shows that reboot is caused by improperly removed KNOX.

To fix the issue, I've had to restore KNOX using TitaniumBackup, luckily I've had a copy and then I did freeze it and delete using Titanium.
After next reboot message that KNOX is being removed has been showed. Next reboot brought message that "access to a unauthorized area has been detected" "Update policy" or "Cancel" has been printed. Cancelling it would bring it again after next boot as I've tried multiple times. Then selecting "Update policy" helped to get rid of it. The next step was to run SuperSU which detected KNOX once again and asked if to disable it. Disabling it helped and after reboot nothing is being showed and phone works great with SuperSU in English and having root.

Now... it seems like it would be good to have KNOX whilst having the device rooted yet it seems to be impossible as I've tripped KNOX "fuse" already.
