i think all roms support all fonts. you just need the zip or the font changer app to change font.
Getting much better battery life on this than on the VR13, I would say speed is the same. (176/691)

I too am using the PU radio, since the cell connection (both data and voice) did not work reliably (if at all) with the SU one.

I went back to 2.2 speedmachine from elelinux. 2.1 too laggy, 2.3 too buggy in my opinion.

No way I find this 2.1 the nicest to use from all roms available for the hero. I don't find it laggy at all. What setcpu settings do you use?

652 176 smartass, sometimes 352 as lowest because of listening music while display is off.
I think it became very slow after starting about 15 different apps and go back to homescreen. The reason could be a worse memory management in 2.1. But i do not know. I did not read the changelog of android between 2.1, 2.2 and 2.3, if there is one

* Apps2sd (old school) after installation is 159 mb left in the internal memory

* From earlier version wipe of cache and dalvik cache is enough.
* New installation wipe of all included factory reset.

My English is deplorable, often retrospectively thinking, I know how I could write like that but I am multilingual, problems with grammar clearly.
But to nicer things, I put together a reloaded version (thanks to arty for the idea) last night, likely to become a release tonight, just have to test everything.
Have added all the patches, desire lockscreen, aNetshare, legend booot screen and the extended boot menu,but chooses not to change anything graphic, but it will come an option with changes in rosie etc...
