There is a file called root.zip in rooting guide thread use that for root ... Htc-data2sd-ext3.zip is a script used to increase internal memory not to root..

frist i used root.zip file.

my memory card partition by ext2 but i used the Htc-data2sd-ext3.zip file instead of Htc-data2sd.zip file. that why i am asking you will i face any problem in future?

ALL RUU FOR HTC SALSA

USE THIS COMMAND :

fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

i replace all recovery.img files with the cwm recovery. so when you flash recovery.img, it means you are flashing the cwm recovery.

say thanks if you are fine with it :D

Problem Guys,

I've been using data2sd-ext3 on my salsa, 8GB class 10 successfully for a small while. But every so often i get low memory warning. Sure enough when I check SD size it says 80mb. I go to recovery and re-install data2sd-ext3, viola, back to 830mb. Albeit having to re-install app updates. Busybox reports no issues, nor superuser.

I have set my ext3 to 930mb primary with the rest fat32 primary. I'm at a loss as to why, or when this happens. Anyone had similar problems? Maybe it has done a reboot without me noticing and this is the reboot problem losing everything?

    1. make sure your sdcard has been partitioned in ext2

    2. go to cwm recovery, wipe data, cache and dakvik cache. Reboot.

    3. Install busybox, and choose the version v1.17.1

    4. now go to cwm recovery again.

    5. flash htc-data2sd sdcard

    6. Reboot

    * now check your internal storage.
    * this script is made only for Salsa, can be used also for Wildfire S.
    * REMEMBER, Make sure you have partitioned your sdcard using ext2 format and BusyBox v1.17.1 installed on /system/xbin

Actually im using same sd card n setting 700MB ext3. Its running fine when its reach about 600MB further than that it will turn into slugs lol

Sent from my HTC Salsa C510e using Tapatalk 2

i did some extensive testing on this lol, found 500mb to be a safe usable average on this type of sd card. if you can get more then fine lol, but i set recommends only from my own tests to help others out. its entirely the users choice but we cannot help if you don't listen to advice lol

    Updated htc-data2sd.zip

Here is updated data2sd.zip for HTC Salsa and HTC Wildfire S.

    How to use it :
    1. flash CWM-Recovery 5.0.2.6 from CWM Recovery v.5.0.2.6 in English
    2. Backup all your sdcard data
    3. enter CWM-Recovery and make partition of your sdcard(this is the easiest way to partition the sdcard)
    4. reboot your phone and copy all you data back to sdcard
    5. copy htc-data2sd.zip to the sdcard as well
    6. reboot to recovery and install htc-data2sd.zip

    it's already included busybox-1.17.1
the included busybox is sololy used for the script,so there will be no problem installing diffrent version of busybox on your device.
your sd-ext partition will be formated to ext2,therefore all data on sd-ext will be lost.

    htc-data2sd.zip download link

    UPDATE :

    htc-data2sd-ext3.zip download link

For OP : please update the 1st post and download link
