What modem is everyone flashing? I did a full wipe flashing the tmobile radio leak first then the rom and no signal the did the same thing with the one from the skyrocket and nothing as well... Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Accidental thanks buddy, have you tried flashing the T-Mo leaked radio after flashing the ROM?

GPS is fixed. Working on data conectivity now. I misinformed all of you, please dont use the ATT radio, it doent support our 4g band. It will not harm your device if u already flashed, you just wont get 4g. MY BAD :eek:

No problem dude, I we all understand it's a learning process. No matter how long we have been doing things. Should we wait for the connectivity and flash the whole thing all over or will it be seperate. Love the Rom except those 2 things :)

The lc8 radio is sans libs so it makes sense that we could flash it but once I replaced the libs with a blaze radio or something else lc8 won't work.

Thanks a lot. I flashed this radio and reflashed rom after...its working excellent for me. My baseband shows as unknoun but i really dont care because im having good and stable data speeds on my phone. :thumbup: Scrennshots???? How??...lol

u might have to wait a few minutes... also flash the LC8 radio and then dial *#2263# and select automatic on both screens then back out of the service mode and wait a few minutes then reboot if it data doesnt kick in.. it does work

FLASH ONLY USING - ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7 - NON Touch Recovery

01. Download ROM (Link is Below)
02. BACKUP ALL APPS with preferred method (ie: Rom Toolbox, Titanium, My Backup, etc..)
03. Place ROM on ROOT of your SD card.
04. Boot into Recovery Mode
05. Do a NAND BACKUP!!!
06. Flash DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE
07. Flash ICS Radio (Link is below) :rolleyes:
08. Flash ROM.:eek:
09. After flashing is complete, Reboot...
10. Let device sit for 10min without touching, then reboot.
11. Done!

the reason i say flash radio before is because noobs will flash a gingerbread radio with the rils. if u do that it will cause issues.. if u flash before the rils will get over written when installing the rom and the radio will still work. there is a reason i written it this way. if it works for u, then do what works.

flashed back to the T-Mobile leaked Modem. other modem is a no go! now I see Dev says don't use. lol!!! dang still getting dropped data from the leaked T-Mobile Modem. love the Rom but hope a flashable fix is coming! already setup eveything. would hate to reinstall everything again!!:eek:

How come I can't change notification sound? I change it to a different sound and the default keeps playing. Using apex launcher if that helps?

Hi Derek,

I thought those APN settings were the answer, nope. As soon as I left the office I started to get the roaming notice while driving.

I just tried to flash the radio (tmo_shg-t989_LC8_radio.zip) and I get an error in cmw that says - can't copy meta-inf/com/google/android/update-binary
Installation aborted.

Any thoughts?

here too, also i was telling tdj that i was only having issue with the call log not been able to clear like in the other build for the Tmobile leak not the at&t one, but i did all over again and now is runing smooth, camera quality is great , i mean , is super great for me....

    Known Issues:
    • Compass: The polarity is reversed. To fix this, kernel source is required. We don't have that as of yet.

    • GPS: Is just plain wonky. Sometimes its dead on and sometimes its a pain in the arse.
    • Reboot/Shutdown Hangs: Flash the DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE from post #2
    • DATA Toggle: The data toggle in the status bar drop down will stay stuck on even when data is killed. Not sure on this, doesnt happen all the time?

    Pro Tips:
    • Having issues with prolonged/wonky DATA connections??? You can always try resetting your radio in automatic mode. From the dialer, dial *#2263# and select [1] Automatic > [1] Automatic > press the physcal back button to exit. Wait a few minutes. This may or may not help the issue, this is not a guarantee. I do this everytime upon re-flashing, seems to correct any delayed data issue I have experienced. Its especially important to do this after flashing any radio.
    ​




    Add flags to file name:

    An adaptation of @waydownsouth's script, I have modified and created a script that allows for flexibility with how I can create and user can install a ROM. *PLEASE READ* this next section carefully and only proceed with a full understanding of what you are about to do. Ask any questions within the thread before doing so...


    Available flags:
    • -naked
    • -newtw
    • -notify100
    • -volwake


    What each flag does:
    • -naked = This will remove the most amount of TouchWiz/Samsung applications(BLOAT) possible without breaking anything. It will install APEX launcher for the default launcher.
    • -newtw = This will remove the *OLD* TouchWiz UI and install teh *NEW* TouchWiz Nature UX launncher (see screenshots below). By not adding this flag you will get a retain the default *OLD* launcher.
    • -notify100 = Re-enables the 100% battery notification, for those who want it.
    • -volwake = Enables volume buttons to wake the device (Same as power button)


    Adding flags to the file name:

    If default file name is:
    Code:

    To have device run naked, removing even more bloat will achieve this. Add the -naked flag to end of file name:

    I know that ICS is new and a lot of people are unfamiliar. You must read! Please don't think ICS is anything similar to gingerbread.         ​

    ONLY USE THIS IF YOU NEED TO WIPE CACHE'S OR FIX PERMISSIONS IN CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY. THIS IS TO BE FLASHED IN RECOVERY! This replaces the need for using the broken built in CWM recovery functions. The DARKSIDE.CACHE.WIPE script will wipe both the /cache partition and the dalvik cache. After its has completed the wipe, it will then fix permissions (the correct way). This should hopefully fix that damn ICS reboot hang issue once and for all.     ​

    lets let things cool down and see what is about to happen. I am really confused to why I am being targeted, but thats exacly how i feel right now. I really enjoy xda and helping people mod their devices. This a great hobby for a techie like myself. I have never had issues like this until the whole @kangkong! situation. My fault for opening my mouth in his thread. I dont think that what I said in reaction to what he was doing deserves all this backlash. This seems more like a personal vendetta than an interaction for unbecoming behavior. I guess we will see whats about to happen. I am sure nothing good will come of this. Glad to know people appreciate me and what I do for the community.
