Which Motorola apps can be disabled?

Search This thread
My wife has a Moto X on at AT&T MVNO. I'm wondering if some of the built-in Moto apps that are not necessary for typical operation can be disabled to improve battery life (she does mostly talk, text and occasional web surfing). The battery charge after 30 hours is 48% and Android OS was the biggest user at 30% which seems high. She was leaving data on (but apps will only update when wifi is on) because she gets regular MMS messages but I have turned the data off for now. Any suggestions (or direction to a thread where this has been covered) are appreciated.

You don't need any of them. Disable whatever you want. Tho I'd be sure exactly what you're disabling before doing it. Google anything you are unsure of. And I wouldn't touch anything that starts with com. Not necessary.

Tho, location services and sync (and the number of apps accessing them) are probably the main reasons android os is high....more so than moto apps.
