Well, it did it again.. I lost data service and was unable to receive calls. Had to toggle airplane mode to fix.

I didn't try to call out, I'll try that next time. But this completely wrecks it for me as far as usability.

THIS. The graphics issue is my only true pet peeve at this point

They should just post a cm9 kernel for the skyrocket then we could just flash the tmobile builds + our kernel. I believe the hardware is identical so rotation etc. would be the only issues and the kernel solves these?

They are using a tweaked UCLD2 leak kernel as it is the only ICS kernel we have for our device (besides the older UCALC4 leak kernel)

You want just the kernel to flash?

Someone else did to flash the TMo alpha 2a build along with our kernel. I was just asking how to make it flashable once extracted from the ROM zip more out of curiosity. I'd rather just wait til morning for a Skyrocket alpha 2a

Alpha 2a is posted

Couldn't sleep so I made you guys another build with Mikeyman77's graphics glitch fix! (No, YouTube is still broken)

And I updated the install instructions with steps, if followed exactly, should work on touch or non-touch CWM recovery.

How to Install from another ROM (DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS!):
  1. Be sure to back up your current ROM!
  2. Update your radio to I727UCLD2 if you have not already done so. (See Romracer's zip here)
  3. Wipe data/factory reset
  4. Format /system (mounts and storage->format /system)
  5. Install the cm9 alpha2a zip from SD card
  6. Install the gapps zip from SD card
  7. ONLY IF YOU ARE ON NON-TOUCH CWM RECOVERY: Install the this zip to fix bootloop due to bad /cache format
  8. ONLY IF YOU ARE ON TOUCH CWM RECOVERY: Format /cache (mounts and storage->format /cache)
  9. Reboot. Let it sit for a few minutes after the first boot. Be patient.

How to Upgrade from an earlier build of CM9 (DO NOT SKIP ANY STEPS!):
  1. Do every step above, except "Wipe data/factory reset"

Serious respect goes out to all of you for doing this. This is true team work and collaboration coming together. You guys have inspired me to starting learning Android/Linux development so in the future I could help in these kinds of projects! I know we are only supposed to post dev stuff here but I just had to give you guys mad respect.

Keep up the good work, will be making donations soon.

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    This version is a release candidate, so some issues still exist. Please make sure you have a backup that you can restore if you run into problems.
    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at any of us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
     * Collectively, and at the same time.
     */

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Good news:

    The CyanogenMod team committed the lockscreen shortcuts and themes chooser features to the mainline. They are pretty cool, although a little rough around the edges. Our next release will include these.

    When is the next release? Not sure yet. Still working on the major bugs.

    This is my build, i do not take responsibility for any bricks or issues. It flashed fine for me.
    Top if you want this file removed tell me and i will take it down.

    Yes im part of team wafflehouse if you see it in the download link, but this is all teamchopsticks work.

    This is PRE alpha3. NOT an official release, expect it to not have ALL the alpha3 fixes.
