Correct, you can remove framework-res.apk from the patch to prevent your layout to be changed.
But don't remove the framework.jar.

Boot loader says unlock mode but the acer recovery app says otherwise. Maybe because cwm v5.0.5.0 and not one of the ones it supports.

I had the exact same question since I too prefer the Stock ICS look. I saw the reply about removing the framework folder, but if I didn't want to do that, does flashing the extreme patch and then the battery% stock ice look work the same?

In other words I'm asking if the other "themes" are updated with the newest framework.

I flashed the nvidia mod over extreme works fine, any of his mods should still work with extreme.

Hi,
My ring is off kilter. The different rings are not nicely lined up in the pic and when it's in landscape mode it's even worse. The outer platter is way off, so much that the volume control is not even inside the ring. Looks ugly.
Any cures for this?

Lol I just noticed mine is the same way. Shows how often I use it. I'll try another ring and see if it does it too.

It will, I've tried three different ones and they are all off kilter.
How can I get mine back to the stock reaper extreme without reloading my nearly 300 apps again and sitting up.

OK tried another one, not as bad but still off.

Edit: I wonder if its the resolution difference from the a500 to the a100 messing it up?

Got 3920 on Quadrant after the patch with on demand governor ,6987 on Antutu and 28.3 fps on Nenamark 2. Thanks for your hard work and keep it up !!!

Well the acer ring apk sits in /system/apps so what you can try is reboot into recovery, nandroid backup, wipe, flash then advanced restore data, shouldn't cause problems since its the same rom.

Oh I meant wipe /system not factory reset.

Mine has been like that since the first release.
It doesn't really bug me or prevent me for using it so I never mentioned it.

The on demand governor cause serious lag for me. It's unbearable.

Yeah I hadn't really noticed it as at most I just pop it up to mute or launch something never really looked at it. On demand gives you lag? Never had that issue, which governor do you use instead?

The default one which is interactive. Its so noticeable when I switch to on demand. Homescreens, lockscreen, apps, and games all lag. But when I switch back its all good. I use the on demand govern on my phone and its the best but not on my tab. Weird.

Hmm I'll try it out on interactive and see I notice a difference. Usually on demand works pretty well.

I set mine to performance . I had it set to on demand and it was glitchy. I'm trying a different browser also. It's called Boat. It seems to be less hostile than dolphin hd that I have used for a couple years.

Well I compared FR on demand to my phones on demand, it seems to favor battery more, it takes more to ramp up. My phone samples more often and ramps up sooner. Try up threshold 85 instead of 95 and see if it still stutters. Or just stick to interactive lol.

Edit: interactive is 80 btw.

Edit again I'm an idiot I was running CM9 with the kernel they released a few days ago so while its probably the same settings it might not be :banghead: I need to stop switching roms so much.

Correct , a500 got higher resolution. Nothing I can do about it.
If you don't want to have the ring use the ring disabler , look in OP , flash with cwm.

Ondemand governor for CPU is old governor. Interactive is better on HC and ICS tablets.

    I don't have a A100 so I cannot fully test it , I test this rom on my A500 and G100W with a boot.img for those devices.
    This rom is a full base of the leaked ICS rom for the A100
    Active support is not my thing as I don't have a lot of time with 3 roms going on.

    Installation,
    first take a full nandroid backup !!!!!

    install 9 different themes , enable/disable AcerRing and a choise of 3 different bootanimations.

    install all the Acer apps , extra apps and Widgets that you want . (Games/Acer file managers are installed in data so can be removed from within the app drawer)

    FLEX-WIDGAPP-INSTALLER_noGames-ver2(130MB)
    (Same as package above but no games so file is smaller)

    FLEX-WIPER-ver2: (3.8MB)

    -New GPS updater (lto) terminal command is = su (enter) gps-update(enter)
    -Mimetempfile-remover (exchange e-mail temp files) terminal command is = su(enter) remove-mimetempfiles(enter)
    -SUPERUSER 3.1.3 (in data) If for some reason root doesn't work , wait a minute or update the "su binary" from with in the superuser app
