JB update

Hey i just did the following to install JB but phone is looping over samsung screen
wiped cache
flashed in odin 3.04
then did a factory reset

HELP!!

I used Odin3 v 3.04.. Extracted the firmware, put the extracted md5 file in PDA and clicked on Start with phone in download mode..

After the phone restarted, went into recovery Volume up+home+power and wiped cache and factory reset. restarted and things went smooth..

@Shaaaan.. Bro this is an exe file.. Why can't we have the zip file directly?

In that case every package can be signed and applied like a finger snap. I think it's not what Sammy wants.
Tested it on I8160 with 2.3.6 and got E:signature verification failed, expectedly.

However, i wonder that it works in JB

Erm. Might be. Kernel maybe!
I couldn't flash any other zips though! It needs a signature! Its possible that Sammy might have done that!

Have you even flashed 4.1.2?,
if yes,should be no problem,
working for everybody,try again.

Install jelly bean update with odin, then flash the .zip, just use the search button

Hi Shaan,

many thanks for the update. i will do it.

yday while installing jb firmware, i forgot to untick repartition tab in odin (1.85 version) and now my device will show 3.12 GB storage (it was some 12 GB before) note that i havent installed anything. not even pictures or movies.

also my phone gallery and camera will give memory error, they wont just open.

while opening apk files, the error is problem in parsing the pkg. and some installed files give error saying fail to deploy sd data, clear the memory.

please advice me what do i do now??

Find a pit file for the 16 gig device. Use it.
