-ordered an S from best buy on 4/18 off contract...$617.49 before tax. the order stated that it would ship after 4/22, order status says backordered...>>>waiting

Backorder status because they don't have them in until tomorrow, then they ship out. Same issue I have. I called and they verified that was why it said back order status.

Regarding the comparisons with AT&T's One X: you eventually pay more for the phone in the monthly bills. My 2¢.

Back to price talk.

I'm an Even More Plus customer, so I'm not willing to sign a contract to hey the phone for $200 after mail in rebate. But I'm definitely upset about the off contract pricing since unlocked international versions of the phone go for $50 less and there I'd no tax involved.

I'm thinking I will sign up for a completely new account, get the discount and then cancel the next day. I'll have to pay the $200 etf but I should still save $150 before taxes.

oh man, I'm in the same boat. it looks like it's going to be the cheapest option for people out of contract because I can't downgrade my minutes to save $ or get a cheaper contract...

Looks like Pricing for the HTC One S (US Tmobile version) was leaked or so tech article reads. Same price as HTC one X on AT&T w/ 2 year contract and $50 rebate. Should have been cheaper IMO.

Sorry if this is not helpful to anyone.

I saw one today, as most T-mobiles are stocking them. Its an amaing device. The T-MO Clerk said it's hands down his favorite phone. Also that T-Mo NOT getting a Quad-Core HTC phone for a while. So no T-MO HTC One X.

I got to play with one at the TMobile... have to say, the AMOLED screen isn't all bad. Yes, the pixelation is noticeable if you are coming from a phone without it... but I turned the brightness all the way up on my Sensation, compared the two... and it is a noticeable upgrade in terms of sharpness and clarity, though you have the slight pixelation to show for it.

I am having a bit of a hard time getting over that, though if I adjust my hold and move the phone back a little and turn down the brightness I can't see it all that much... and I think I could live with a little pixelation.

I might actually return my sensation (got it for $100) and get the One S on value pricing (manager said she thinks its gonna be $150, though I think it'd be closer to 200-250 for payment plan)

htc one s pricing

well that wouldn't be too bad at about $400 as opposed to $600

I'm considering this too. I'm about 11 months into a 2-year contract. I spoke to a "loyalty specialist" today who wasn't too helpful. Said I'd most likely have to pay full retail price ($599). Made no offer of any kind of deal unless I wanted to get another phone. Bummer...

I'm more interested in the Retail off contract price. That's listed at $599 right now. Also it looks like the T-Mobile version isn't the MAO version. I was really looking forward to the MAO version despite all of the issues with it.

What bothers me the most is that AT&T will probably sell the higher classed HTC One X for the same price off contract. So Tmobile is overpricing their HTC One S seeing how it very obviously lies a tier below the One X according to HTC.

I understand it's Tmobile's flagship phone right now, but you still have to price it according to everything else on the market and not just what is available on your own network... that's how you lose customers.

Yeah bigger screen and higher resolution. Also LTE... so if you consider the things that people look for in a phone as screen size, processor, screen resolution, storage size, and network speed... then the AT&T HTC One X has larger screen, higher resolution, and faster network speed. So 3 of the 5 things people look for in new phones are a "generation" above the Tmobile HTC One S.

I don't really care about most of those things within reason which is why the HTC One S appeals to me. It's the right balance. That being said it's still lower end than the One X... even in the version AT&T is getting.

This is a huge Tmobile fail imo. Most of us will suck it up and buy it anyway, but like I said... that's not how to make a customer happy.
