If you used oneclick or any other root method that has an unroot, manually verify it really removed everything (su, superuser.apk, etc).
I am also on Stock 2.3.4 (4.5.91), Rooted, BL Locked.
I used Pete's One - Click Root tool to root my phone. Now as I want to OTA update to 141, so I first need to Unroot via One-Click method or Manual method?
I tried One-Click to Unroot but it gave following error:
"ERROR: /restore/ backup doesn't exist or is incomplete!
These files must be downloaded and saved to your computer in a /restore/ subfolder
Download links can be found in the Help menu in this program"

Please tell me how to Unroot my Atrix and how can I confirm that unrooting is successful?

Thanks

Are you sure you used Pete's one click root method? Maybe try re-rooting with the one click method and then unroot with one click? There's a root checker app in marketplace to verify that you no longer have root access. It does not check if the one click unroot did a complete cleanup of all files that Pete's one click root tool added/modified. You should be ok though. Worst case is a soft brick.

I don’t know how to help you with that error, but you can check if your device it’s rooted by using an application call root checker from the app store. And there is an application there that it’s supposed to unroot your device call root uninstaller. I have not tried this application and I don’t know if it works.

Good luck,

Yes I am sure that I used Pete's One Click root method.
I was getting above error whenever I was clicking on "YES" on a dialogue box coming prior to unroot process. The dialogue box had following message on it ...
"Do you want to restore your /system/app files too?
If you select 'no' and have removed system files, you could prevent your device from working properly.

Also, click 'no' if you are using a non-Verizon DROID 3 phone or your phone is not a DROID 3."

This time I clicked on "NO" and then unrooting started without giving any error and after 3 reboots, I ran Unroot Check app and it said that my phone wasn't rooted. After that I went to market and uninstall Superuser.apk and now I am downloading OTA and hope that I wont have any problem

Edit: Update downloaded and rebooted for installation. But installation skipped in the mid and phone rebooted normally but then got this error message "OTA installation failed" ..... any idea what went wrong?

Thank you. This is the only thing that worked for me. Even removing root via terminal, still had issues. This however worked perfectly. Now to root again and be on my way.
