Is there a way to use stock ICS lock screen with this rom? I know i can use apps like widget locker but you know ram usage is a serious problem so i cant use them. I found some zip files but they are changing lots of things like my notification or battery icon and i dont want to change them.

I want to delete the sony lockscreen and put the original ICS lock screen instead of it only...

I am not much interested in cosmetic mods.. but I'll release a de-odexed version soon so that you can add any more mods

I installed succesfully ur Rom, so I have to say your kernel rocks!

Simplicity over all :)

I followed the said steps 1 by 1, and worked like a charm, but i made some modifications, I think u must be interested of knowing:

- After flashed the ICS Firmware, for new Baseband, I just downgrade the baseband to .56 (useless? xDDD)

- Then I rooted normally, and installed your kernel (fuk yeah! :D)

- Next I just installed the system itself, and the given Fix, after that, updated the BusyBox for having Supercharge compatibility.

Till here ur system was perfectly default/nice/clean except for the baseband, I didn't face any issues on doing it that way.

Once I had the system perfectly working, I put on it a few more things, as:

- The [MOD][ICS&GB][4/23/12]Camera HQ Mod that works fine till now (I choosed the Extreme version, and edited the "etc/media_profiles.xml" file as required).

- The ICS Look for .562 NeoV/ArcS/Ray and Neo/Arc with this GemS Series DefaultThemes.apk and ICS apps deleted from the zip package, again any problem encountered! :D

- And finally, changed the Icon Battery to a %Mod, JJROM_AOSP_Batt% from JJ Rom, as wielku said.

P.D: I forgot about SuperCharge, I 've done it the lastest of all, just perfect!

Hope this steps, help others to solve some doubts, and for u shardul_seth as feedback :)

The result is a nice, fast, stable Rom!!! (Even with low battery consumption...lol)

Thx, thx, thx, thx, thx, thx... and so on! ^^

btw, how many apps do you have?

well :) it's 130. I know it is a lot. I might reconsider it.

but above all, thank you for the great news! I am looking forward to the 4.0.4 version which should also solve my exchange account problem. I know there are other options, but I rather not temper with the e-mail app by my own.

Update!!

Update: Spacious, Smooth and Light v3
Based on Unofficial ICS 4.0.4 (4.1.B.0.431)

Changelog:
---------------------------------------------
-> Aroma installer options
  • Automatically detects sd-ext partition and offers Amarullz, Link2SD also
  • Default dalvik2cache if no sd-ext partition
  • On-screen keys mod (optional)
  • Sony specific widgets (optional)
  • Change default keyboard skin (optional)
  • Neo patch (optional) for Neo owners
-> 30-steps volume + smooth scrolling spinner mod(credits BBangSik)

-> Statusbar widget, ICS themed keyboard, Auto-rotate home (credits hansip87)

-> My performance tweaks

-> Themer friendly (Only selected system apps ODEXed, framework not ODEXed, hence easy to install mods and themes)

v3 Link will be back after fixing the installer issues some people are facing!

Important Notes:
-----------------------------------------------
-> Data wipe is recommended, otherwise boot-loops may occur.

-> For sd-ext to work you will need night-elf kernel

-> TAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FIRST!!

-> Dalvik2Cache is not recommended now unless you plan to install only 80-100 apps. If you want more, please use Amarullz or Link2SD.

-> If you want it even lighter, run the attached script (windows or linux pc) and wipe cache, reboot ;)

-> Please hit thanks on hansip87 and BBangSik threads also.

Last question:
Is supercharged v6 script recommended with v4 too?
I'm asking because I've had some problems with stability and speed after installing this script on v2 and stock kernel.

Not required.. It is smooth without it

It was an option in the aroma installer. After install, copy framework-res.apk from opt folder in ROM zip and push it to /system/framework

I've bootloop after appying v3 ics on nightelf rc3.
It's clean install (factory reset + format of /system partition).
It doesn't detect my new ext4 1gb partition... :(
Please help me, Mister.

Yeah I have the bootloop too.
I did a clean install.
Tried on your stock modified kernel, night elf's RC3 and sirkay's xneo
Bootloop always.

Do you remember what options you selected? That would help in debugging.. Thanks

if i select dalvik to sd, no bootloop
if i don't bootloop.
on sirkay's kernel. but i dont think its kernel related. check the dalvik to sd disabled option.

EDIT: Confirm its not kernel related. tried with your kernel and night elf's too.

Also please fix the bug as I have a lot of apps that i regularly use.

Thanks for feedback!
So it boot-loops on selecting "None" in that menu? (Or did you select amarullz or link2sd options?)

In continuation of the highly appreciated Spacious, smooth and light Gingerbread ROM, I present you the ICS version!!

Works on Locked bootloader also as reported by FTW_260

    1. What is so special about this ROM?
The main feature is 400 MB is free on /data for your apps!

    attachment.php

This is the highest free on any custom ICS ROM for the Neo V.

    2. How is this made possible?
    a) This ROM has been ODEXed. Hence all dalvik files for system apk's are in the /system partition itself!
    b) Dalvik-cache has been moved to the /cache partition.

    3. Why ODEX the ROM?
    a) ODEX ROM's load up faster the first time
    b) ODEX'ed system apks do not create .dex files in dalvik-cache, hence size of dalvik-cache decreases. This is required so that there is enough room on the /cache partition for the dalvik-cache also.

    4. What are the features of this ROM?
    • Based on official stock ICS firmware for Neo V
    • Rooted and busybox (latest su binary and Superuser.apk)
    • 12 Notification toggles with QuickPanel app for editing them
    • Many bloatware apps removed
    • File manager (ES File explorer) added
    • My tweaks for better performance
    • UOT kitchen compatible

Want better battery life? See here

    v2 - changelog on 2nd post
Download (Mediafire - 176 MB) + Offmode charging fix
Tip: Best if supercharged, steps here.

    6. How to install this ROM.
    1. Copy Downloaded files to SD card.
    2. Enter recovery by pressing the back key when you see the blue light with vibration.
    3. If you were not on stock/stock-based ROM, wipe Data is safer [ AFTER NANDROID BACKUP ]
    4. Install the ROM zip.
    5. Optionally install optional packs (open and delete whatever you dont want)
    6. Reboot to you new Spacious, Smooth and Lightwieght ROM :)

    7. Any disadvantages of ODEX'ed ROM?
The only disadvantage is that you cannot install custom themes on the ROM.
But, mind you, UOT kitchen can be used to change a lot of the UI.

    8. But why not use Link2SD or Dalvik2SD?
It has its own problems, most important being io speeds from the card and problems when card is removed.

    10. Credits?
hansip87 - for the status bar toggles
muzontnt and umarian for ICS 404 toggles - thread here
Sony - for ICS update ( and making wonderful firmware :) )
and all Devs etc on XDA for making custom ROMs possible!
