Not sure if this is due to root or using this script, but my phone will not connect to my tv through hdmi. Any ideas why or how to fix?
It's not root. I had the issue, then ran the script to restore everything and my HDMI mirroring works now.
So I wonder what it is in the bloat remove that kills the HDMI mirroring??
If I ever get time (highly unlikely, but I can dream right?) I want to look through the script and try commenting out each .apk until it breaks HDMI.
Sounds like you did more than just remove bloat. Did you remove the launcher without having a secondary launcher first, perhaps?Hello all,
I ran the bloat script and rebooted. Now I am stuck at the splash screen and it does not go away. Am I borked or is there a way to restore my D3 back to normal?
Thanks,
Steve
Don't shoot me - just asking.
I bought the Bionic yesterday and have rooted. The D3 one click root worked on the Bionic.
Now, this script is just what I want (I hate doing it one by one) so does anyone know if this will work on the bionic and which version?
Walking away quietly........
This worked, but now I cannot use the feature that allows the user to click on the face of a contact, and get a popup window to either call or text, or view the contact, or facebook, or skype, ect... This was a very handy window, and I'd like to get it back! Does anyone know what caused this, and how I can reinstall an app to make it work again??Open the zip and take out the file. Then run that as a script with root permissions.

What is the fix for this?
I did a hard factory reset/wipe, but now it gets stuck at the "Setup Accounts" screen where you add facebook, youtube, etc.
removing the following apps breaks HDMI mirroring
DLNA.apk
DlnaSystemService.apk
PortalStandAlone.apk
To restore HDMI mirroring, rename these files back to their original name. This should fix HDMI. All credit to pedwards3x at Rootzwiki for this information.
You shouldn't delete them -- we don't have an SPF yet. Someone posted the complete /system/app contents and you could restore, technically, manually, but it's a bad idea. Renaming to a .bak is completely effective.Great, but maybe it would be nice to make a y/n option for each .apk where it asks you if you want to delete that apk
Read the post.
Please read the thread thoroughly -- I'm going to ignore obvious questions like these.script manager that you use?
I use script manager and asked me if I want to remove each apk or not.
There is a script manager that does everything automatically?
thanks for the answer
Well captain assumption that is true but someone adapted it for bionic in another thread. 1 or 2 s Differences only. So i figured id ask if this worked for anyone else on ics as it sits to see if it was an ics issue. and if there were any diff on ics vs gb and what those were so i can compare and contrast your findings. I am flattered that you had enough time to look at my posts.
