Nice work done so far :)
The key to making them work seems to be editing the build.prop to tell the phone the manufacturer is Sony Ericsson. Perhaps you would like to add this step in the 1st post.

May I ask what is the function of "BACKUP & RESTORE" ?

Can I just install "TIMESCAPE" without install "BACKUP & RESTORE",
add just add the two lines in "build.prop" ?

With backup and restore...
You can backup your contacts, sms, call logs on one rom and then flash any rom and restore all the above using this app. :)
Yes u can also install timescape only.
And u dnt have to add anything in build.prop file

In the build.prop file find this line
Ro.product.manufacturer = somevalue
You have to change this ''some value'' to ''Sony Ericsson.
So it wld look like this.
ro.product.manufacturer = Sony Ericsson

U hv to chng dis value evn if u r installing only timescape, oderwise fb dsnt work :)

But dnt forget to change the build.prop otherwise fb and twitter wont work in your timescape :)

Hey mates,i just managed to get timescape working on my x10,problem is its darn slow o_O ,loads alot and works very slow,any tip?

Only thing i did was change Manufacturer to Sony Ericsson , i got CM6.1.3.

don't install through recovery on x10
it changes ur screen density to 120 (default is 240)
and the device name in build.prop is mini pro instead of x10

Got it working on my x10 finally.. Just like the old rachel version it is pretty laggy though.

I think the lag is rom specific though I wl try to improvise it lateron.
Btw is the widget working for you?

I can confirm that twitter kind of work:
You can sign in and updating status but you don't get any feeds (pictures with tweets) its just the picture there saying add o social network (I have already done that)

Any news about the widget issue?

Yes i Change the build.prop to Sony Ericsson, yes I got FC on the arc launcher when I try to put the timescape widget on the home screen..

    1. 05/04/2011 Font fixes

    NOTE:
    1. Any xrecovery file downloaded from here, shall install apps as well as set permissions to 777 for all necessary files or uninstall the apps as required

    HOW TO INSTALL
    1. Download the zip file
    2. Flash using xrecovery.
    3. After doing this just goto your apps drawer, find timescape and you are good to go :)
    4. Goto system folder using root explorer and do the following in your build.prop file
      • Edit the following line
        From
        ro.product.manufacturer= "whatever name here''
        To
        ro.product.manufacturer= Sony Ericsson


        [*]Add a new line
        ro.semc.timescape_keys=Sony_Ericsson_Xperia

    XRECOVERY VERSION

    Retail Arc Timescape Normal version (also compatibile with Wolfbreaks rom) (Installer) (Uninstaller)

    Retail Arc Timescape LDPIv1 for LDPI/smaller screens download (Installer) (Uninstaller)

    APKS ONLY - Not flashable

    Widget pack: Photo widget, genie widget and desk clock

    Simply copy these apks to system/app using Root explorer and set their permissions to 777

    UPDATE 11/4/11

    IF YOU GET ERROR ''CANT READ FILE'' WHILE RESTORING A BACKUP DOWNLOAD THIS [LINK REMOVED AS SOMEONE CLAIMED RIGHTS TO THIS FILE funny world lol :p ]

    Installing update
    1. Download DeskClock.apk above
    2. Using root explorer, paste it in system/app
    3. Set permissions to 777 (all boxes checked)
    4. Now try restoring the file that previously said ''cant read file''; it should work now


    Installing Backup & restore app
    1. Goto system folder using root explorer and edit the below entry in build.prop
      From
      ro.product.manufacturer= "whatever name here''
      To
      ro.product.manufacturer= Sony Ericsson
    2. Then download BACKUP & RESTORE here and install.
