Disable Voodoo:

2. In CWR menu, select 'voodoo lagfix'
3. Select 'disable lagfix'
4. Select 'go back'

Someone's gonna burn me at the stake for this, but do I need to disable Voodoo coming from Nero v3 w/ Voodoo?

I had to  It's a good question, but just be safe and save yourself some possible trouble.

Thanks Som and TW! Updates are always greatly appreciated. Now get some sleep and rest up for the upcoming craziness of this thread.

install on top

hi
first of all, thanks for the new version!!!
i am currently using Nero v3 with voodoo.
can i install Nero v4 on top of it?
so i won't need to re-install all the apps, and change back the settings?
i am asking because when i backup with titanium-backup, it's never 100% good(mainly the dialer and contact settings)...

thanks!

i notice problems with the camera while selecting shutter sound, battery percent VERY hard to see, (im sure jdan will provide me a theme), still have to use the built in back arrow on video player.

not complaining, just seeing if anyone else is having same issues

What is going on with the Dialer!???

I have Audible Touch Tones on and I get those along with a LOUD static sound.

Also noticing weird things with the camera shutter sounds.

Battery percentage is tiny

On the Camcorder settings, will not highlight 1280x720, but will apply settings when you press Back but still FCs when starting a recording.

***make backups/rename original (i.e. mms.apk.bak)***
Also, AOSP MMS from Nero 3 attached. Just push/copy to /system/app

Adding Nero 3 Dialer. push/copy to /system/app

Came from Nero V3, and had to manually enable voodoo.
Initially after checking mount in terminal emulator it read jfs, now it correctly reads ext4 after manually enabling.

This thing is a beast, great work man.

Try this, worked for me:

(pretend the .zip is nero)

Install:
It doesn't matter if you are coming from a fresh Odin or not, we want a clean install so follow the install steps.
1. Download PepperKake.Nexus.S.V3.5.2.zip and place on your sdcard.
2. Boot into recovery and Wipe Data/Factory Reset Before You Move To Step Three.
3. Flash PepperKake.Nexus.S.V3.5.2.zip.
4. While still in recovery: Wipe Cache Partition, and inside the advanced menu: Wipe Dalvik Cache and Fix Permissions - Just These Three Steps, Do Not Factory Reset Again.
5. Reboot Your Phone.
6. After about 10 minutes, you should reboot again to clean things up and wipe out any bugs.
7. Enjoy!

Why do you want to close the launcher? It's what showing you the home screen, when you close it, of course you can't back out.

Contacts only stay open for a brief time. Leave it and it will close.

Flashing soon.

Is the change of "3G" to "H" symbol purely cosmetic? If so, wouldn't that be misleading?

The 1280x720p does not work. HD recording is needed for my business. I even tried the hack trick and it forced closed the camera and soft bricked it. I really would like this to be fixed.

I for one, would like to extend a very heartfelt THANK YOU to Sombionix and Team Whiskey for all their hard work on this and all of the other ROMS. People, stop complaining over the ROM/s. You all sound like a bunch of prepubescent idiots. It's free, it's supported and it's much, much, much more than what Samsung has provided us. It's fine to make suggestions about what you would like to see in a ROM, but not fine to whine when it doesn't show up in the next build.

You guys have run off almost all of the developers we have in this forum. Eventually, Som is gonna say screw all of us. When that happens, we're going to be stuck waiting on Samsung to send out something that will be 1/4 as good as what TW have put out for us....and a year behind what everyone else is running. I hope you've got a few magazines and a snack because that waiting room is FULL right now.

Those of you that are having multiple issues, other than what Som has confirmed, it's 99.9% likely that you did not read the directions. After you flash the ROM...LET YOUR PHONE SIT FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES. I know you want to touch it and feel the awesomeness in your hand, but don't. After you have let it sit FOR AT LEAST 10 MINUTES, reboot it. Then you may get your greasy fingerprints all over the screen.

Once again, thank you Som & TW for making my phone more enjoyable each time!
