Unable to install new CWM for WFS 2012

Hey guys, my bootloader properties are:
***UNLOCKED***
MARVEL PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.09.0099
MICROP-0451
RADIO-7.57.39.10M
Feb 8 2012, 18:29:31
I have CWM 5.0.2.8 Installed, but I can't install CWM 6 or Philz or TWRP...! :crying: It stucks on HTC logo screen!
Any solution ?
Can I install CM11 without a new CWM?

How did you try to install the recovery? And how are you sure you can't boot to recovery? Does the ROM itself boot?

I used adb-fastboot CMD commands and I installed CWM 5.0.2.8 successfully. but WFS 2012 has a problem with the CWM recoveries. I used the MODED version of 5.0.2.8, not the original one . When I try to install new recovery, it fails and HTC logo screen comes up.... but the ROM is booting OK and I can using my phone...
I used this one too, http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2312904 and I Installed it successfully and I could to install the CM11 ROM with no errors...!
But after I reboot my phone it sticks again and Android won't comes up. Since when I restore my ROM to the previous version it boots OK.
maybe I should wait until the moded version will be created...

Use PhilZ Touch Recovery 6.43.7,it works on WFS 2012

You may try TWRP 2.7.1.0 . You can find it in the developer section. It works with WFS 2012 and can flash CM11

Hi,

I think I am having the exact same problem: I want to try Olivier CM11

so tried to to use his latest CWM http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2740145

I am new to this and the only way I have tried is like this:
1. Boot the phone into HBOOT via turn phone off, pull and reinsert the battery, hold volume down and press power button.
2. Select FASTBOOT
3. Insert USB cable to connect to PC
4. On PC in a cmd prompt:

fastboot flash recovery [image name.img]

But all recoveries tried so far hang on white screen with green HTC

Yeah, I tried it 3 or 4 times with no success...! I don't know what the problem is this...?

yeah this is normal, this is one of the ways you can install CWM recovery, it checks SDcard for a Zip file (PG76IMG.zip) that the CWM recovery is in it.
check the attachments and when you extract It, install the .img file with fastboot this method is recommended.
Or you can install it through your recovery-install zip from sdcard-but I couldn't install it with this method.

It works for me, but when I install the CM11 rom correctly it isn't boot..!

OWL recovery v0.1.2 appears to work for me.

But like you when I try Olivier CyanogenMod 11.0 via install from zip on sdcard
it all seems ok, OWL says installed but on reboot
just get the green HTC on white background

Haven't got enough posts to request help on dev forum

Can any devs reading this thread offer advice ? E.g. any way to view "system boot logs"
to try and work out why CM11 is hanging ?

E.g. if I had a problem on my linux box not booting into X Windows I'd just go to a terminal and do

vi  /var/log/Xorg.0.log

is there something similar with android ?

The problem has not been solved yet. So I'm using CM 10.1 from ih8rain now and it's ok for me. Maybe we should wait till they work on it more...

I've just got AOKP4.2.2_marvel-16.06.2013 loaded on "our version" of wildfire S.

Working and seems pretty stable.

Still hoping to get kit kat on though. Are any devs looking at this?
Would it help if we could somehow get a logcat for the install / build of kit kat on our phones ?
i.e. to figure out why its not working ?

even i am an disappointed owner of wfs 2012..

tried to install philz recovery bt it dint work...i really want to install olivier's kk on my phone

meanwhile which rom are you using guys...???
i am thinking about trying aokp [4.2.2.] unless devs find a solution for this...
i am currently on stock
