[Q] updates from CM wipe all data

HI chaps, I read somewhere - must have been the OPO forum - that when CM11 sends an OS update and you install it, it wipes all the data and app on your phone. Is that true? If so, what's the way around? Does creating an account with CM help?

one of the older updates required that, but no, you do not have to wipe data when you update cm.
