Are you sure they are loading? Are you going through hboot? Also do you have s-off?

Thanks for uploading these ROMs. It saved my bacon trying to downgrade. I had a bad ROM file (thought I bricked the phone) and able to use the Froyo one here to continue downgrade.

So I am trying to fix my GF's mt4g and when I go through the motions like putting the pd15img.zip file on the root of the sd card it scans it then at the end it says would you like to update and i select yes then it just stays there. I've read that it shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes but it just stayed on the screen for like 30 minutes or so. I searched around XDA and couldn't find a thread that had something similar to my situation. If someone could direct me to the right thread that would be great or just let me know what i am doing wrong. i got the img file from

and used the 2.3.4 (new) file and it got me further than any of the other files I have tried. All the other ones did was give me this message

here are some of the details of the phone as well. 1: once it loads it get stuck on the splash screen, but when i take out the battery i can put it into hboot so that mean i can still try to save it right unless it's half bricked. Please help i've been going at this for about a week or so. I am about to tear my eyeballs out also.

That sucks, it seems the device had temp root and someone attempted to flash something without having full root. The problem now is what was flashed to it and if there is a system on it to start with.
With it having security lock it won't allow you to flash to it at all, you need to be in system to gain root in the first place.

I am having a mytouch 4g now running stock rom 2.1. The phone came with S-Off. So if i download the 2.3 update, would it turn my phone back to S-on???

Also does the S-Off mean that if i want to root the phone, i would just need to flash the superuser.zip?????

An official update usually will if it updates the hboot but usually it fails because its rooted.
