tha question:
how can i stream VEVO in Russia? I thought that all restrictions are gone at your ROM, and the whitelist has no limitations of region...
i can watch VEVO videos at the device, but when i try to cast it, theres "Not allowed for your region" or smth like that on TV.

The application (on Chromecast and/or on the device requesting the casting) does all the DRM and region-checking. The ROM/firmware does not change that.

Unlocator or Unotelly might work for pretending you're in a different region, but I'm not sure.

How to revert to google image

I received another rootable unit from Amazon. Planning to return the one I got from bestbuy. This was rooted and has PWN installed.
How do I revert back to google image?

    This ROM has been replaced with Eureka-ROM, which is available at http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2578653

    I am happy to announce my new ROM, PwnedCast ROM! This is a replacement for my current rooted ROM.

    Now with 500+ installs and counting!

    This ROM is based on the 13300 stock image, but with some cool features! The big improvement is the addition of my OTA update system called PwnedCast OTA.
    This means that if I ever release an update for this ROM, your ChomeCast will automatically download and install the update!
    For more info, click the link under Features. Don't worry though, ill still post updated links in this thread.

    Features:
    1. Root SSH/Telnet Access
    2. Uses DHCP DNS Servers
    3. Google OTA's Disabled
    4. Custom Boot Image

    6. PwnedCast Recovery Image, which is based on FlashCast V1.1.1

    Install Instructions:
    1. Setup and Install FlashCast V1.1.1 on a Jump Drive: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2452838
    2. Rename the Zip to eureka_image.zip, and place in the root folder on the FlashCast Jump Drive.
    3. Plug the FlashCast jump drive into the ChromeCast, hold the button, and plug in power to boot the device.
    4. NOTE: If you try flashing with FlashCast V1.0, the install will fail.
    5. Flashing will take 6~ minutes, be patient! As long as the ChromeCast LED is white, it is flashing.
    6. Once done, the device will reboot.
    7. Enjoy!

    Just letting you guys know I pushed out an OTA to my testers of the new 14651 based build. If all goes good, I hope to have an official OTA/Release within a week! :)

    It should as long as you still flash the flashcast bin file to it the same way you would a jump drive.

    Also, WOW! Today we hit 500+ confirmed installs! I honestly thought this would never have that many users. I just want to say thanks to the community for supporting us at Team Eureka :) And I promise, this new release is getting very VERY close. ;)

    Just released the new OTA, which as its a new ROM, has its own thread. OP was updated with a link. This update is pushing as a OTA as we speak :)

    Just a heads up, I just released the first OTA for the PwnedCast ROM. it may take up to 1 week for all devices to be updated, so don't be surprised if you don't get it right away.

    New Features/Fixes:

    • KyoCast is now built into the ROM!
    • PwnedCast-OTA is updated to the latest version
    • Updated Recovery based on flashcast 1.1.1

    If you use the UnLocator DNS service, you will have to reflash that mod after this update.
    *hint* This will not be a issue in the future though!

    This OTA is mostly preparing the chromecast for Team Eureka's first ROM release! Keep your eyes out for a teaser in the upcoming days ;)

    I also updated the link in the OP so users who do not have OTA enabled can still update.
