Hey i was wondering if it's possible for this mod to work on the nexus 4 too. If anybody has tried this with good results id love to know :)

I deleted my post as I thought I was talking twaddle but on double checking my earlier assumption about getting the 5 band equaliser is right.
If you didn't see the post earlier please let me know and I'll repost it :)

Now a question .
I've got your mod working on my phone(HTC DesireC) It's only a small cheap phone and has very limited development but the group of users who are on the Forum are very close and a great group.
Now we have a new Developer named Russell664 who I have talked into adding your mod to his Rom .
What I need now is permission from you to let him do it .I believe he pm'd you but I imagine you prolly don't answer pm's as you are probably swamped .

Man, when people give me such a long reply I appreciate it but don't except a super long response. Lol it's nothing personal, I just prefer short and concise responses. I got his pm, but i haven't had the chance to reply yet.

No worries, I'm making an update soon so no more editing build props. It auto changes build prop tweaks.

Did you flash this and if so did it work? I see your using atom which includes beats already.

MusicFx isn't opening for me, just makes the screen flash, Im on 3.0.4

Listening to rock in Google music drowns out the lyrics, and MusicFX wont open so I can't fix it. Other than that it is awesome.

Try wiping musicfx data with titanium or going to settings/app/ and its data there.

Well I had 3.0.3 working on my Note 2 then I tried a new Rom (factory reset) and didn't like the audio mods it came with. Tried to flash 3.0.5 Test and kept getting FC on BeatzFX. I uninstalled Apollo, Audio Fx Widget and BeatzFx through Titanium Backup, went back to recovery, wiped cache/dalvik, flashed 3.0.4, wiped cache/dalvik. After reboot, same thing FC on BeatzFX.

I also went into Build.Prop and could not find any lines that said "lpa.decode=true". I've never done anything in Build.Prop before so I am not sure if I am looking in the right place. How do I get this thing working again (and working right)?


Edit: Tried reflashing 3.0.3 again and it worked. So its just 3.0.4 and 3.0.5 that do not work on my Note 2.

I upgraded to 3.0.5 on DirtyBox v1.2 and Beatz is gone (as I anticipated) but selecting "Music Effects" under settings--> sounds doesn't pull anything up

Bring back the BeatZ DSP with the 10 band... the musicFX seems to suck, sound is way worse plus I miss all of the other options. :) Or else I'll just roll back to your past releases. :) Thanks for trying to improve the BeatZ!

    FAQ - README FIRST!
    What is KingBeatZ?

    It was formally known as PacKing BeatZ which was based on PACman rom.


    What is KingBeatZ Audio?

    Audio files and APPS compiled by me directly from my rom minus a few prebuilt from leak Sense JB.
    In short, it's made to work. No bs.


    What's the difference between this and the other KingBeatZ?


    This is fully built from sauce with PACman as its base but with many modifications
    . Basically it supersedes it.

    Quick Guide

    LPA aka low power audio reduces the audio quality for power consumption.

    For some phones, inserting that line might cause issue. Like I said, this is experimental. It haven't been tested that many times.

    For the phones that I have tested it on S3, N7, HOXL, and SR it works perfectly fine. (I'm not talking about the line "lpa.decode=false.")

    For now here are the results

    Verizon CDMA Nexus
    DO NOT ADD "lpa.decode=false"
    Add "af.resampler.quality=34"

    Nexus 7

    Added "lpa.decode=false" and "af.resampler.quality=34"

    S2SR - Stock JB Leak/AOSP
    Change "lpa.decode=true" to "lpa.decode=false"
    Added "af.resampler.quality=34"

    S3
    Change "lpa.decode=true" to "lpa.decode=false"
    Added "af.resampler.quality=34"

    Media Players
    Due to the nature of BeatZ, this will not work on certain players
    However, it will work on the following

    Apollo
    Google Music
    Spotify
    Rocket Player
    (Highly recommend if the above is not preferred)


    Instructions

    How do I get this to work you say?


    DONT HAVE ANY OTHER AUDIO MODS!!!

    LOOK INTO YOUR BUILD.PROP AND FIND THE LINE "lpa.decode=true" change it to "lpa.decode=false"
    ADD THIS LINE 'af.resampler.quality=34" if it has 255 change that ****.

    Why? I'll tell you why... It doesn't work. It might say forcing blah blah to 255 but in reality doesn't do ****.

    Now after you have done the following.

    Download if you haven't downloaded already the mod.

    Reboot to recovery wipe cache and dalvik

    Flash mod

    Wipe Cache and dalvik

    Reboot and enjoy

    Audio Tips

    Have fun with them, BUT DO NOT HAVE VOLUME at MAX if it's your first time with this mod.
    Be very careful with compression - it can be your best friend or worst enemy
    Virtualizer is quite useless
    For equalizer - I use acoustic
