im on 10.04 and want to update to the new one.
Should i do only an upgrade only with clean dalvik cache and cache or wipe anything ?
I'm sorry mate, haven't gotten to the bottom of this. Seems like noone cares.
Should wipe the phone and start again. Had none of your issues whatsoever.

Don't like modded phone and sms (not comfortable for me, no slide options etc. but it's my opinion only)
Worst ROM ever had. Battery life is very sad. Don't see my SD card. No MTP. Not so stable. Got FC sometimes. Don't like modded phone and sms (not comfortable for me, no slide options etc. but it's my opinion only). Sumarizing it's a good idea for rom but it requires much work. Regards!
Dont laugh lol. Around 3-4 hours. I'm waiting for your results Remember, battery life is a little worse in ICS, and a little more worse in AOSP based roms. So 2 steps down from GB ROMs we were used to. Its no more 5-7h screen time my friend ))
So much battery talk in here lol..
Well this is what i decided to do. I'm gonna wipe my internal and SD. Only put back the files i need (tb backup and pictures). Fresh install of Hydrog3n (full wipe). Install a new kernel (been using latest version of siyah for a long time now) and try two new kernels: Neak and thoravukk. Ill post results when i'm done (yes I know it might take some time, but i'm sure many of you want to try around different kernels but it would be good to have some stats before doing so) Hopefully this helps out a few out there.
I love that rom, but i´m only able to use the 04/04-release, because every update deletes my whole contact list -.-
Just tried the new 14/04 release, but doesn´t work, too.
Now im restoring my 04 version...
Am i doing something wrong or is this a bad bug of the ROM?
I´m only installing the newer rom with CWM. No wipes, nothing.
Or have I to wipe the caches or something?
Thanks
I agree, there is way too much battery talk in here, I am always amused and annoyed when we get battery reports 6 hours(or less) after flashing an updateSo much battery talk in here lol..

I know you are not a really heavy user so you will probably get a little better battery life than most people around here; and the last time you flashed a full rom was probably Feb 23rdoh crap ) i'm used to 3 days with 6h screen time...
well this will be interesting then.. real interesting..

Transfer the zip file you downloaded above to your internal sdcard (not the external micro SD).
Turn off the phone, then boot into recovery mode. For this, press and hold these 3 buttons together until Samsung’s screen shows up: Volume UP+Home+Power.
Phone will boot into CWM recovery. Use volume keys to scroll up and down between options and power/home key to select an option.
Perform a wipe:
Select “wipe data/factory reset”. Then select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. (This will not touch your SD cards so don’t worry).
Go to “advanced” and then select “wipe dalvik cache”, then select “Yes” on next screen. Now, go back to main screen of recovery.
Select “mounts and storage”, then select “format system”. Select “Yes” on next screen to confirm. Go back to main recovery menu after system format is complete.
Then, select “install zip from sdcard”, then select “choose zip from sdcard”. Then, browse to the file you transferred to the sdcard in step 2 and select it.
Confirm installation on the next screen by selecting the option ”Yes — Install HyDrOXYG3NICS.zip“. The ROM will now start installing.
After installation is complete, select “go back” then select “reboot system now” to reboot the phone.

** MTP AND USB STORAGE FOR MAC **
Go to http://www.android.com/filetransfer/ and download the dmg, drag the app into the application folder, now when you plug your phone in the app should open. You need the latest build posted by Paradoxxx on twitter as it fixed MTP.

OK guys finally compiled my modpack which I believe is working perfect now..
Backup as always before flashing anything.
This includes the following:
- Google gears bootlogo
- Phone.apk with DPI fix
- GPRS quick lock fix
- Modified PlayStore to spoof 240dpi
- True blue theme fix
You do not need to clear cache/delvik this is done automatically.. also it fixes permissions automatically also.
