I doubt it. I think you'd almost have to go back to an ics Rom. Maybe do some Google play store searches there may be an app that resembles what you're looking for
Disabling Google now got the speed I wanted (since it didn't have to load the cards) but not the color/aesthetics of the ICS search, but its not a huge deal

Going into Google now is almost like having to go into a separate app. Hitting the voice search button brings up a small simple search box.
