[Q] Desperat to root MyTouch 4g

Hi guys,
This is my first time using a forum and really need your help.

I have a Tmobile MyTouch 4g, Android version 2.3.4 and have tried to look around for ways to root but mostly either the solution don't work for my phone or I cannot obtain the downloads.

Can you please guys help me with a step by step guide and download files.
