Are you guys placing it under system/app and setting permissions? Mine took effect immediately once I hit home, the touch wiz launcher came up. Don't install it as a normal apk.

Hi Trent... dumb question... does this ROM have the hotspot hacked? Also, is there s note and does the calendar work the same as the calendar of a standard touchwiz rom?

yes,placing it in system/app worked. thank you. only other issue ive had, i had an app fc on me. i tried to reboot and i had to do a battery pull, but when it did boot back up, the app that was FCing worked again.

did you clear the defaults for whatever launcher you were using prior? these are the steps i used

1. DL apk to computer
2. move to sd card
3. copy to system/app
4. clear default on nova
5. press home button and choose TW

How do I get halo working. I have xposed installer installed and don't know what else to do. I tried the zip from trenton but nothing working...help please.

Every single apk and file under system needs to be set like this.


For halo, flash my halo zip.
Open up xposed --》download and find Xhalo.
Install it.
Activate it in modules.

Love the odex version so far but a few questions...

1. Possible to change all of the icons to kk?
2.How do you get the normal notification pulldown with the brightness slider?
3.Possible to make the status bar black?
4.How do you get that kk style lock screen clock in your screens?

I used philz with no issue

Even after being shown the way I fail. Well thanks for trying to help guys. Guess I better get used to Nova.

Edit: Got it. For some reason es download manager wouldn't grab the whole file. Used regular Web and worked prefect. Thanks again for the help though! Loving this rom Trenton!

sorry but got 1 more weird issue. i have the splanner widget on one of my home screens, but it doesnt show all my facebook friends birthdays, and when i try to add something to the calendar, it tells me the app doesnt exist

This ROM is quite spectacular. Layer out perfectly. Quick question regarding the email: I don't see the exchange settings as an option upon setup. Something I'm missing? Or has that removed? Really need to have access to my work emails.

Installed the odex version, booted, worked fine, went to install the blue toggle/text odex version and it does its android [ well trent :)] is upgrading and kicks back to splash screen and repeats. It seems the blue toggle text makes it boot loops, anyone else getting this?

On a side note: I tried with Philz newest recovery, status 7, went back to twrp 2.6.3.1 worked fine.

    Q: What is the best recovery to use to flash this?
    A: I didn't have much luck using the latest TWRP before 2.8.0.0. Phils has worked great, but TWRP 2.8.0.0 may work just as well.

    Q: I can't get MMS to send? Any solution?
    A: Input your phone number into the messaging app to send MMS that way. You may have to use one of the known MMS fix methods (apn-conf) if you use another SMS app to send MMS. I honestly do not have a fix for that as it is possible something removed or merged could have messed that up. I noticed under about device, your phone number can say "Unknown". Have no idea why that is.

    Q: There isn't a CSC.apk in the rom? Isn't that needed?
    A: Yes and no. The missing apk is HERE. Feel free to add it under /system/priv-app. You will get a "com.android.phone has stopped" message TWICE after every reboot and then the problem will never come back until the next reboot. I could not get down to this issue so hopefully someone more skilled than me at reading a logcat and providing a fix can help out. I removed it and it doesn't seem to hurt or break anything else about the ROM.

    From past research, it is needed to boot the rom & for APN editing but it doesn't seem to really be affected by not including it so far.

    Q: How can I remove the "0" from the time?
    A: Again, I will keep figuring that out. If it is that annoying, I guess you could try the Xposed Module "XuiMod".

    Q: How can I get Inverted Contacts? Or vice versa?
    A: There is an extra contacts app under /system/priv-app called "Contacts1.apk". Rename Contacts.apk to Contacts.apk1 or whatever and rename "Contacts1.apk" to Contacts.apk and Hot reboot. You will have 2 apps under the system.

    Q: How can I hide one of the dialers?
    A: Go into application manager and either "turn off" the dialer or google dialer. Simple as that.

    Q: How can I change lockscreen wallpaper?
    A: I haven't gotten around to finding a way except for using GravityBox. Works great for lockscreen and quick tiles.

    Q: Why do I get a Link Bubble has been illegally modified and thus will not work reliably message?
    A: This app was never modified. It was simply just added to system. Just uninstall using Titanium or root explorer and re-download.

    I know this ROM isn't PERFECT, it will come with it's share of bugs. But I narrowed it down as much as I could to at least provide it as a daily driver and I think it is worthy of being a daily driver.

    Also, GravityBox can be wonky! Stay cautious.

    NONE! Well so far...

    Cosmetic flaw:
    Can't remove 0 from time. (Ex Mon 06:26 am.) Still looking into it.

    All of this is possible mainly from Kryten2k35 who has been a HUGE HUGE help in the progress of my ROM and okayed me to merge and use some of his marvelous work from his UltimaROM. Check him out and the work he put in over there.

    DSA also was a huge help with the AOSP lock screen and is also apart of the Alliance Family.

    Finally, I'd like to thank my roommate Alexa who has put up with my late nights and even all nighters. I had to sacrifice time with her for this but I enjoy modding and doing this whole custom rom thing very much.

    Build 9 is uploading now. It is the slowest upload of all time (Starbucks). Im sure it will be a corrupted upload so I will upload again later when I get home. OP updated as well.

    So from the last changelog I posted until now, I have a new changelog.

    Im sure you guys wouldn't have appreciated constant FC when you answer the phone or when you first reboot your phone so that is now fixed (And took a good chunk of time to narrow down)
    Fixed Call Logs not showing up in Dialer.
    Fixed AOSP Incoming Call Screen
    Replaced AOSP MMS with 8SMS (It is needed for this rom + more functional + more features when it comes to Theme & MMS features.
    Fixed SystemUI FC & freezing the phone until it Soft Reboots itself when you pull out your SPen. Weird I know. I had to merge and update a lot of files so I figured something had to break.
    Fixed AOSP Gallery Editing Feature
    Switched Apollo music for Shuttle **Just looks better and fits the KitKat Rom)
    Added CRT animation into build.prop. **Option to choose Fade, CRT, or None in Build.prop**

    I found all this as soon as I posted the last changelog. With my very busy schedule, I appreciate your patience.
