RapiDroid Beta 1 (15.10.2012)

Half a year after I bought a Defy+, I made my first ROM. :) As I used to did with the Omnia 2 ROMs, I made this one for myself also, but I share with the community, because I'm such a nice guy. :D If you want, you can give me advices or ideas.

The base of this ROM is the official DFP-231 rooted Gingerbread ROM. I removed some stuff and added apps and features what I missed from the official one. The ROM is a smooth and relatively fast ROM with additional features.

I don't want to change the World with this ROM and it's not a competitor of the big ones (CM, MS2G, etc.) either. It's mainly created for speed and battery saving.

Language support:
EN, DE, GR, ES, FR, HU, IT, NL, PL

Initial release - Alpha 2 (19.09.2012) - Download
Removed:
  • The ROM is ~90% "DeBlurred". Some apps stayed, like BlurEmail, Youtube, etc.
  • Google Quick Search Bar
  • All types of "social" stuff (Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo...)
  • Swype (so you can install a newer version)

Added:

Alpha 3 Update (21.09.2012) - Download
  • Contacts crash fixed
  • Bravia Engine - Demonstration video
  • Internet Speed Tweak
  • Battery Life Tweak
  • Defrag Database Tweak
  • ClearLog Tweak
  • No Normalized Sleep Tweak
  • Overclock modules added, but its not working yet
  • Hungarian language added to Usb.apk, because that was missed :)

Alpha 4 Update (27.09.2012) - Download
  • Contains the Alpha 3 Update
  • Superuser replaced with SuperSU
  • Jpeg HW encoder + decoder turned off (buggy)
  • Camera shutter sound turned off by default
  • Increased Video Recording and Photo Quality
  • UI rendered with GPU
  • Hardware accelerated video playback
  • Usage data sending is disabled
  • Ringing starts immediately
  • Undervolting and overclocking works fine from bootmenu

Alpha 5 Update (29.09.2012) - Download
  • Contains all the previous updates
  • SuperSU changed back to Superuser, because /system was not r/w
  • Minor build.prop modifications
  • Boot animation changed (without sound for now) to this: Droid Razr Bionic
  • Splash logo changed

Alpha 6 Update (03.10.2012) - Download
  • Contains all the previous updates
  • Usb.apk zipaligned (I forgot )
  • Lidroid notification toggles integrated (Flashlight not working!)
  • Calendar widget FC fixed
  • Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc's Digital Clock, Favourite People and Calendar Widget added
  • Notification Toggle app removed

Alpha 6.1 Update (04.10.2012) - Download
  • NOT contains any of the previous updates
  • Network mode, Mobiledata and Flashlight toggles removed (from Quickpanel Settings too)
  • Brightness bar added to statusbar toggles
  • Quickpanel Settings translated to hungarian language
  • Toggle widgets removed (left in by mistake)

Beta 1 FULL (15.10.2012) - Download
  • All Alpha updates included of course
  • Init.d finally works
  • Some options set at first boot
  • ClearLog Tweak removed
  • Newest Google apps
  • Newest additional apps
  • Undervolted (300/28, 600/38, 1000/55)
  • Lots of other minor changes

The ROM is deodexed, so themes are supported!

Download
USE 7-ZIP TO UNPACK! WINRAR DOESN'T WORK!

As i have tried the overclock is working but very hard on DFP-231.
I have installed one patch as i remember with the boot menu to make it work.
See this http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?p=25887427

Thanks, I'll look into it. However my ROMs main purpose is the battery saving. I'm trying sqeeze the longest battery time from the phone as possible without removing anything necessary. And in the meantime the phone must be as fast as possible also. :)

Thank you for sharing!

But 100% JPG-Compression doesn't make images become better. The higher the compression, the worse the image quality, the smaller the images....:confused::confused:

MD5 is fine, I just checked. Try update your cwm recovery or use 7Zip to unzip the compressed file you downloaded instead of other program (WinRAR, etc.).
Or maybe you renamed any of the files or edited the md5 with a non-unix text editor?

Ok
But i think you would be interesed in undervolting the processor if you want to squeeze three longest battery time.

I'm looking for a compromise wth this ROM and I don't want to give up any speed. :) This version already a 3+ days ROM for me and it's way faster than the original DFP-231.

Put these to build.prop:
ro.media.enc.jpeg.quality=100
ro.mot.deep.sleep.supported=true
ro.wifi.channels=14 (you just need to edit this, because it's already there, but with 11)
