[Help] Video not playing on XZ

So this is a very peculiar problem, where my phone hangs, process.system crashes, my onscreen keys vanish

I have been able to recreate it

By playing any music through Walkman
Then opening the movies app(not playing any video)

Stops the music that is playing

If I then play any music or video through any player

the phone hangs indefinitely

Or
movies crash
Process. System crashes
Home,back etc vanish

Photos app, the photos become pixilated

I have cleared data on both the apps, cleared the phones cache.

Reinstalled movies and Walkman
But the problem doesn't go away :'(

Sorry but is seem to me that this might be more serious issues , I would suggest PC companion or flash tool. That is because sony player plays most of the codecs mp4, divx and others.

It's not just the Sony player, MX player all stop working
First time my phone hung, ever :/
I don't want to reset phone

what worries me is the force to close or crashes . Sir. That means some of the system files are damages. I suggest you do backup the data ASAP.
I don't think you have much choice there !

I flash my one once every week and I don't care!

is your phone rooted???

Nope it's not rooted, it's stock, I had it warranty replaced a month back.

It's my daily driver, so It's bit of a pain, but I think I agree with that system files might be corrupted, better to restore to a new system image.

Flashtool will let me flash the same firmware without wiping my data right? Will that be advisable in my case?
