Hmm... This will be a great way to get past that 10 post rule in order to post in the development forum... Looks like i'll have to deal with this random rebooting until then. :eek:

I also have on it Betterandroid "open Home" 6.1. I have read that they are no longer aloud on the market anymore. So I was thinking of using Go Launcher instead. I would like to know if gingerbread and go Launcher are about the same. And what the difference might be.

I have been trying and trying to root and upgrade the system to gingerbread or the latest firmware and rom.

I have read and read and the more I read the more it is becoming confusing. I am REGISTERED with xda and saw many posts from you.

If there is any way you can help me, I would be very grateful for the help.

Sorry for the dumb questions!

hurricane v1.6... seems trivial, but can be annoying as hell... the HOME button doesn't work... that, and it seems as though it wouldn't charge the battery when connected...

also the EH17Plus kernel by chris41g results in a boot loop (people already posted about it)... its broken on stock deodex (w/ root) as well as the hurricane rom...

unless its just my setup, not sure, lol...

About the home button...check in /system/app and see if theres something similar to "setupwizard.apk". Had a very similar problem. Also, hold down the power button if you were gonna reboot. How many things show up on the menu that pops up?

haha. everyone knows e-peen is figured about by quadrant scores...DUH ;)

I took it completely off... went back to stock, so maybe I'll try again later... and when I would hold down the power button, it would sometimes only show "Power off" while other times it would show all the normal ones + "reboot to recovery"... very strange...

You need that. It's your problem...put it back in the rom and your home button should work

    In highschool I remember telnetting into the firewall. Ran a version check, googled the default username and password and sure enough it worked. Did a hard reset, the internet went down for a few minutes, they made an anouncement over the intercom as I sat and smiled. When it came back up, I could play Guild Wars in class on my laptop for the next 3 years :)
