note 10.1charging extremely slow

You can always download the 4.0.4 image from SamMobile & flash back using Odin. It solved my slow charging problem.
Normal charging on ICS. Let it auto update to Jellybean & now it charges in around 3-4 hours.

I did exactly this, and the issue is still present. I even stayed at ICS for a while to verify it was charging normally, so I let it update to 4.1.2 and after that, Boom 12 hours of charge time...

This is irritating...

Sounds silly, but have you tried a different charger or cable?

in fact, I haven´t. I don´t have another charger at hand though =S I guess I´ll have to swap with a friend of mine, just for the sake of testing...

Interestingly, Last night i plugged in mine while turned off and it charged at a decent rate. I´ll try turned on to see what happens.

Yeah, I know it is random. If your Note isn't too old, you can open a support ticket with Samsung. I had a rma setup , but as a last minute effort I restored back to 4.0.4 & let it update to 4.1.2 again & my charging was resolved. But Samsung was willing to take it back for rma.

I tried looking in the samsung webpage but I couldn´t find the place to submit a ticket. Would have a link handy?

just an update guys, I changed the USB cable to a new one and the problem is gone! strange that it charges fine on ICS.

are you saying you cant connect it to a pc? is it not recognised?
Same thing here but in addition it doesn't charge at all. I have to use apple's charger + samsung cable. Rate about 1% per 15min on iphones one. Gonna ask a friend to borrow an iPad one...

Yes not recognised by pc....
But I borrow a friend s cable... and everything is fine and back to normal. ..

Now I am looking for a new cable...

I took the advice about a new cable (a couple of posts before), bought a new one. Will arrive tomorrow or monday. Will post my observations soon

ive noticed something...

last night is my 1st time charging while shutdown....when i woke up thw battery level is 60%...in about 7h...originally is 12%...
then, i turn on the note and it start charging normally...up to 83% in about 1h...

so i have q...do those who had slow charging prob...do u charge while shutdown@ on?

(or this only hppen to me)

same here. i have a n8000 updated to jellybean. charging takes upto 12hrs or more. this is insane. why do i need to charge my tablet for half a day.

doesn't samsung recognized this issue already by now?

i tried switching from stock to omega rom. it's still the same.

help.

thanks. well so far im using my original cable and adapter that came along with the tablet.

i just don't understand why I should go to another outlet to charge my tablet. when it used to be charging so well. and i only charged my phones/gadgets in one place all the time.

obviously samsung needs to address this. i guess them launching so many gadgets in a year, it's hard now to give after sales service to each one of it.

You can give it a try .... some said change the cable , change power outlet , you may try another adapter , some said connect and disconnect 4-5 times quickly from the adapter .... all these wont hurt and i recommend trying another cable or the charger adapter of another working tablet

    Are you using the original cable? I had the same problem with a 3m no-name cable I bought off ebay.

    Took mine to Samsung and they said it's normal. They said an S3 take 4 hours and seeing this battery is 3 times the size, it takes 12.

    I picked up my tablet and walked out. Stupid uninformed staff with no idea.

    I'm selling it today and wait for something not Samsung.

    note 7000mAH at 102mA will fully charge in 70 H, at 602mA will fully charge in 11.30 H if i not use it. i dont know yet what factor that makes my current not stable in my note (randomly beetwen 102 - 602mA).
    s 5 2800mAH at 1200mA will fully charge in 2.15H, at 750mA will fully charge in almost 4H, at 450mA will fully charge in 6.2H

    i wonder if it self defense to prevent hot or something. i try to charge my note with my s 5 charger and it show red cross in battery indicator, i know it is because of Ampere of my s 5 charger is 0.7A. im not try different cable or different charger yet.

    im not sure if i do factory reset or install ICS will solve the problem, and i plan to try different cable first.

    Problem with Connector/Cable....if not charger.
    My original cable did that problem too & now I'm using a micro USB to Samsung 30 Pin converter + Note 4 cable to charge.
    It takes only ~4 - 5 hours from 0% to 100%
    ....and if you buy 2nd hand N8000, it's better for you to replace the battery with a new one.
