Here are my stats. I initially had a mediaserver battery drain problem and was a little freaked out. But after some research I found out that the GN2 doesn't like itunes encoded m4a files. I converted those to MP3 and i no longer had the mediaserver battery drain problem. While I am quite satisfied with my battery life, I am a little amazed at Kristoph's results. A full day and it looks like moderate usage and he/she still has 50% battery. Does it save battery to turn off WIFI and just leave on the LTE? I thought that WIFI uses less power than LTE. Also I am a littler concerned as to why Android OS seems to be taking the majority of my battery usage. It seems that most people have the screen as the number 1 consumer of battery power. Which makes sense. I wonder if an app is causing higher than usual battery drainage. I do have Android Lost installed and an app called Do Not Disturb Me. I wonder how much battery life that these apps use. I may retest my battery after uninstalling some of these apps.

Pos5 your screen on time. If you haven't used much screen time then other systems will end up with a higher percentage. My media player has been higher on a couple of occasios.

On a side note, what has eve4ybody been getting for 'awake' time. I have seen over 13 hours and am sure that wasn't my best. Best I could get with note 1 was 8 hours awake. Best screen time for note 1 was 6 hours.

Here are the screenshots for my screen on time. My screen on time is like 2.5 hours. And the Andoid OS awake time is like 5.5 hours. Seems a little low to me since your seeing 13 hours awake time.

Here is screenie of the 13 hour awake time.

Need to get cpu spy to check if you are hitting deep sleep and to see what speeds you are running at. Also need some kind of battery monitor (I use better battery stats) that can giv3 you wakelok stats to see what is actually keeping your phone awake.

Downloaded both apps to see what's using my battery. Only thing is better battery stats does not seem to be working properly. I get a message stating no reference set yet. Does this app require root?

Don't think it is quite optimized for JB yet but it does work. I had the widget act flaky a couple of times but just removed it and put it back on screen and it was reporting again.

I must have a defective battery then. I can only get about 3.5 hours on my phone until I hit the 50% battery left mark. That's with no live wallpaper, auto-brightness, no real video watching, some downloading over WiFi, and mostly some gaming and listening to music.

I have let my battery completely die and then recharge it with the phone powered off. Right now my battery is at 81% with 8hrs and 47 mins on battery. It's showing that MEDIA SERVER is taking up the majority of battery power at 29%, followed by SCREEN (26%), ANDROID OS (14%), and other processes are single digit and under 10%. My screen-on time has only been a whopping 27 minutes!! How is everyone else getting these insane battery times with the things they claim they are doing??? Do I need to contact Best Buy and get a battery replacement using my warranty or something? Because I can't see what many things I could possibly be doing wrong to be getting such horrible battery life.

sounds about right to me, I found that when my phones on standby it drains battery really quick for no reason that i could find. actual usage though, the battery is fine. I suggest flashing jedi 3.1 rom. my standby time improved significantly. Its my first battery test on this rom and so far i lost 1% in 3 hours!!!

What is your awake time for that eight hours? How much time listening to music?

Below I've posted the best battery time and screen-on time I've been able to get, to date. I still haven't seen the insane double digit screen-on times others have posted, but this is what I got from minimal usage over that 1.5 days almost. Does this appear to be "about right" to people who are generally savvy about this topic? I really want to make sure that either my battery or phone is in good shape. I should also add that my massive media server drain seems to have been alleviated. Before, I was easily having 24% or higher media server drain. Most times, it was actually draining more power than my screen. I tried a number of different solutions I found online, so I'm sure which one helped, but I'm glad it did.

Theres something may be draining it but you should be able to get more screen on time. This was taken after I put it to charge and had airplane mode on thinking something was wrong with my phone not connecting to my router but it turned out I had to reset my router.

Ease up buddy, what you so mad about. I was actually trying to congratulate you on your successful swap in a jokingly manner. Yet you resort to petty attacks.

I have no ill will towards you but I have to respond to egg in the face comment. You might want to go back and look at your own posts before declaring fail on my part. Don't bother changing them as I have screen shots. Let me know who really has egg on their face.

As I said, no ill will on my part. What I posted was just a little jibe to your noob remark meant in good fun.

My apologies. When I checked this it was via mobile and I just saw your first sentence and ran with it. So, again, my apologies for my reaction. I should have read more to have all of my facts in check.

This is not entirely LTE but only 6.5 hours of it was connected to Wifi.

I've had the international for the past 2 weeks and got the att version today and so far battery is
Better on the international, gave the International to my gf thinking the att one would be better and I was
Wrong, as far as speeds go hspa vs lte just a a second or 2 faster
At least for browsing the Web, I'll update my results once I have the
Phone longer, but get the international if you can.
So far international easy I would get 16hrs so far my att note 2 died at 8 hrs. I must have something I need to adjust

This was straight out the box with only 55ish% charge. Completely stock. Im happy so far.
