Hello

I have a Xolo Q3000 with KitKat 4.4 update.
There's a peculiar app named YGPS installed on the phone.
It has permissions for everything (send SMS, make calls, use GPS, use camera and microphone, and modify SD card.)
I'm cornced that this might be spyware because I cannot remove it.

Does anyone else with a Q3000 have this app installed?
It does not appear in the "downloaded" apps menu but is listed under "all" apps.

Regards

Now our XOLO Q3000 is running KITKAT 4.4.2 officially.

Those who having jelly bean and wants to update to kitkat can follow steps given in this thread.

After updating to KITKAT OS the biggest issue we face is rooting it

    ========================================================================================================
Here I am mentioning some of the methods to root the kitkat os.

First u should try rooting methods mentioned here.

    1. Framaroot

    2. vroot 1.7.8,

    3. rootgenious,

    4. kingo root,

    5. Custom recovery method.

If at all one of the methods works and u get an superuser app in app drawer then install latest supersu app from playstore.

goto supersu app - update binary- restart - goto supersu app - select uninstall other superuser app - reboot - ur fully rooted now.

    6. New method - tested and worked for chinasa

Install wondershare mobilego application for windows (used version 5.0) [U all know where to get full version]
connect ur mobile in usb debugging mode.
Let it install mobilego app on mobile.
    the select tools - root
Try this till it says successfully rooted.

After this message install supersu app from playstore.
goto supersu app - update binary- restart - goto supersu app - select uninstall other superuser app - reboot - ur fully rooted now.:good:

    7. New latest method - tested and worked for ME
Download Root Master su, root master or iroot.

    Select root

    Reboot.

U can see kinguser app installed.

THIS IS TESTED BY ME AND WORKED FOR ME FOR 4 TIMES IN FIRST ATTEMPT.

    8. New latest method - tested and worked for ME

Flash working kitkat recovery from my recovery collection or this.

Reboot in recovery and flash this file.

    Reboot

    u will see kinguser application.

IF u dont want that Chinese font root application:p
    After flashing above file.
    from root explorer
    goto /system
    delete recovery from boot

    flash supersu 2.02.

U will get normal supersu English app.
