ATT GW

Hey guys I'm with ATT and I got my GW working after the first step. Now the build.prop still set to nexus. Does that need to be reverted back to ATT for any reason and flash the second step or just leave it if it is working? Thanks

Please go right to post 2 for testing a new 1 flash method. I need testers. Please send feed back.

Read instructions very carefully and download the 2 files before starting

Jelly Thunder has it working right out of the box. No need to do this:)

Sorry for a new post. I made this a little easier to do.

This was made to work on Jelly Thunder. This involves 2 flashes and a build prop edit.

Confirmed working on:
Jelly Thunder
Clean Rom
International Stock Rom
Cmenard 4.1.2 ROM

No idea if it will work on other roms. You tell me

1 . DO A NANDROID, reboot and turn nfc on
2. Flash part 1
http://www.blownco.com/DAFOXS/wallet_part_1.zip

3. You will get a few nfc crashes and some slow screens, just keep hitting ok.
4. Open Google wallet and wait for it to do its thing. Again keep clicking ok on the nfc crashes. When Google wallet is done you will either get a wallet fc or a screen saying you don't have network connection.
5. At this point navigate to system/app and DELETE the wallet apk
6 . Navigate to system, open the build prop in text editor and change these 3 lines to exactly:

ro.product.model=Galaxy Nexus
ro.product.name=yakju
ro.product.device=maguro

This will automatically create a backup of the original buildprop

7 . reboot
8. Download Google wallet from the market
9. Open wallet and let it do its thing. Wait for the fc or network error, click through any nfc fc.

For some of you, it may just work at this point.
You're done then

10. Once you get the wallet fc or network error. Navigate to data/app and DELETE the Google wallet apk.
Reboot into recovery and flash part 2
http://www.blownco.com/DAFOXS/wallet_part_2.zip
11. Open Google wallet and let it set up. It may take some time.
12. Once your all set up, navigate to system and delete the buildprop.apk and rename the buildprop.bak to buildprop.apk. If you don't see the bak one edit the existing one back to

For ATT users only
ro.product.model=SAMSUNG-SGH-I317
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=t0lteatt
ro.product.device=t0lteatt

Any other carrier, I have no clue. Be smart and keep a copy of the original someplace safe

13. Reboot.
14. Done

Dafoxs I thought I would end up with your cool dark themed wallet by flashing the 2nd zip. Is that version available for download somewhere ? Thanks man for your work. :thumbup:

Couldnt get it going running jedi on a Canadian note 2. It would just force close at the end of all the steps. And when I installed the playstore version it would say not supported on the carrier and network. I than flashed the second part and it would just force close.

I wouldn't recommend leaving the build.prop set to nexus.

I just realized that the Play Store still thinks I’m on a Galaxy Nexus. Anyone know how to get it switched back?

I’m on CleanROM SE 1.1; Wallet works great; and yes, my build.prop is correctly reverted back to stock.

Just had to change a few lines in the build prop as stated in the instructions in the op

Gotta say thanks again OP. I've been able to setup and use wallet on 4.1.1 and 4.1.2 custom roms on my phone and even setup GW on my wifes stock, rooted tmo note2. Lovin' it.

Just wanted to say thanks - Other method didn't seem to work for me so I tried it this way on my VZW Note 2. Just got back from CVS and it worked without a hitch.

I'm on Jelly Beans Build 6 for anyone wondering.

Update on the tmobile stock deodexed rom:
Tried it again today for the first time since my last post on this thread, at a wawa.
It worked!
But it requested for my pin, and as I was inserting it, the cashier pressed something on his screen, and told me it was denied.
I finished inserting the pin, and it said to request help from the cashier.
He told me it was denied...
I think it might have worked if he didn't press the frigging button while I was inserting my pin.
Anyone have any opinion on this?

It always asks for a pin. Just leave it sit on the scanner. You don't need to enter the pin

You mean on the phone screen?
The phone will ask for the pin, and I just ignore the request, and keep the phone on the scanner until it goes through?
That's weird, but thanks for letting me know.
Now I'm pretty sure it works though.
Thanks for all your help. ;)

Looks like Wallet doesn't work inside at two of my local Sheetz (basically a Wawa). Oddly enough, it works fine out at the gas pump. The cashier said they've seen other people do it and it worked (and my Galaxy Nexus worked there before I got this phone) so not quite sure what's up.

Any ideas? It's weird to see it work at CVS and the gas pumps at Sheetz but not inside... Either way, thanks so much for your hard work on this - I love Wallet and am so freakin' happy someone took the time to get this on the Note 2!

Tried again today, same register. Ignored pin request, still declined.
Maybe it's the register?
Will try on a different register next time.

Research your card. The light will turn blue, select it again. The light turns green

    Transparent or inverted wallet depending on what rom your on.

    Most have a working wallet first.

    For folks that have wallet working already do this
    Rename your current wallet in system app to GoogleWallet.apk.back
    Drop the new one in system/app
    Fix permissions
    Reboot
    Done

    Another guide for wallet? How many do we need?

    At least 1 more. Is it killing you. This one happens to make the other three allot easier and since I started the other 2, does it matter.

    Im on Rogers in Canada, Google wallet is not available in the play store. However, I have seen the quick pay terminals and really want to give this a go. Does anyone know of another source for the Google wallet apk?

    This is the market version of wallet. It is the one you put in data/app. Side load it there, fix permissions, reboot. Start app, it won't work. Just open it for a few seconds and continue on with the steps above
